Description

Discover the Mexico locals love—far from the tourist crowds and party vibe of Puerto Vallarta and the vendors of Yelapa. Casa Bendita is your private escape in the authentic fishing village of Chimo. Perched over the Pacific, your home offers stunning ocean and majestic mountain views, just steps from a secluded beach. Come marvel at God's handiwork, read a book and listen to the sound of the sea. P.S. So remote you can truly disconnect, yet with blazing Starlink Wi-Fi you can stay a bit longer The space Welcome to Casa Bendita at Dos Hermanos! This home is identical to its popular sister property, Casa Gracie, and its many 5-star reviews, which enjoys "Guest Favorite" because of wonderful travelers like you. You can expect the exact same level of quality, comfort, stunning ocean and mountain views, and dedicated hospitality here. We have used Casa Bendita for our own family (thus the fewer number of guest reviews compared to its sister property), and now we are excited to share it with you! Escape the crowds and discover Mexico. Your home offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Sierra Madre mountains. Here, you can unplug from the world while staying connected with high-speed Starlink internet. Enjoy modern comforts, fall asleep to the sound of the waves, and experience a side of Mexico most travelers never get to see. ____ The Space Your home is designed to blend the stunning outdoors with comfortable indoor living. Huge glass doors open onto covered and uncovered terraces, filling the space with natural light and the sound of the ocean. * Sweeping Views: Enjoy incredible vistas from the living room, kitchen, terraces, and master bedroom. * Flexible Sleeping: A master bedroom with a king bed, and a second bedroom with four twin beds (two can be combined to form another king). * Fully-Equipped Kitchen: Cook with a view! Our kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals. * Indoor/Outdoor Living: Relax on the spacious terraces, listen to the ocean from your hammock, and let the sea breeze drift through the house. * Modern Amenities: Your home offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience, including Elon Musk's high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi. Guest Access & Property Details: Casa Bendita is one of two sister homes on the property, Dos Hermanos. The houses are thoughtfully positioned and separated by a lush garden to maximize privacy. ⭐ A Note on Reviews: Casa Bendita's sister property, Casa Gracie (airbnb.com/h/doshermanos-casagracie), has the exact same floorplan and amenities. We often stay in Casa Bendita ourselves, making it less available for rentals, which is why it has less reviews. We encourage you to read Casa Gracie's reviews as well to see what guests say about the hospitality and the Dos Hermanos experience—you can expect the same 5-star quality and experience, as staff, hosts and accomodations are the same! ____ The Chimo Experience: An Insider's Guide Just 150 steps below your house lies a secluded sandy beach. Chimo is a peaceful fishing village of a few hundred residents, offering a true escape. On clear nights, you can see the lights of Puerto Vallarta twinkling across the bay. ____ Dining in Chimo *Beachside seafood shacks — Sunsets Restaurant and Los Socios (ask nicely—you might score a burger too or something off the menu like tacos). 💳— ¡Sunsets Restaurant now takes credit cards at your tableside! —💳 * The Village Taco Stand: A local favorite, typically open Thursday-Sunday evenings. We recommend the tacos al pastor on Saturdays! ⭐ Your Own Private Cook (Guest Favorite): Let our friend and local cook, Maria, prepare incredible meals for you right in the casa—from breakfast chilaquiles to fresh-caught fish for dinner. She handles everything, including the cleanup, at very reasonable prices. Just ask, and we'll connect you! ____ Groceries & Fresh Food * The Produce Truck: Listen for the speaker announcement on Tuesday mornings for fresh fruits and vegetables. * Fresh Catch: Ask any fisherman on the beach in the morning, and they'll gladly sell you fresh fish, octopus, or lobster when available. * Local Tiendas: Two small 'corner' stores offer basic groceries, and snacks. Icecream, beer, and local moonshine, Raicilla, can be found elsewhere in the small village. ____ Getting Here Chimo is accessible by car/taxi from Puerto Vallarta (via El Tuito) or by water tax or private boat. We can help you arrange boat or car transportation for a scenic arrival. ____ Is Chimo Right for You? A Note from Your Hosts: We want you to have the perfect vacation, and that means being clear about our vibe. If you're looking for high-rise resorts, nightlife, and jet skis, Chimo isn't the right fit. Think of it this way: Chimo has a pontoon boat vibe, not a jet boat vibe. This is the place you come to escape the hustle of modern life, read a book in a hammock, connect with nature, and truly slow down. ____ Connect With Us * See More: Watch videos of the property and village on our YouTube channel: FindingChimo@doshermanos2021 * Questions? Find us on Google Maps (search "Dos Hermanos in Chimo") and use the 'chat' feature to connect. Guest access Guests will have the entire house. Other things to note Important Details for Your Chimo Adventure: To ensure you have the best possible stay, please read these important details about getting here and what to expect from our beautiful, remote location. ____ Getting to Chimo: Your Arrival Options The nearest airport is Puerto Vallarta (PVR). From there, you have two great options to get to our village: * By Car: Chimo is one of the few secluded villages in the bay accessible by road! You can take a scenic drive from Puerto Vallarta via El Tuito. The final stretch is a dirt road, which is part of the adventure. * By Private Boat: Want a more dramatic arrival? We can help you arrange a scenic trip across the bay with a trusted local boat captain for a reasonable price. This is our top recommendation, especially during the rainy season. ____ Our Beautiful Hillside Location & Beach Access-- To give you those incredible, sweeping views of the coastline, our homes are nestled on a peaceful hillside above the beach. * There is a direct path with approximately 150 steps leading down to the sand—a moderate but beautiful walk. * For a gentler option, you can take the longer, easier path along our driveway. * Please note, the direct path may be challenging for guests with significant mobility issues. Life in a Remote & Authentic Village Part of Chimo's magic is its authentic, off-the-grid feel. This means: Bring Cash: The wonderful local restaurants and small shops in the village operate exclusively in Mexican Pesos (cash). * Enjoy Nature: As we're surrounded by a lush natural landscape, you may encounter local wildlife and insects. Rest assured, the entire house is fully screened for your comfort. Available Services for an Effortless Stay-- Want to make your vacation truly relaxing? For a reasonable fee, we can connect you with our local friends to arrange: * Cooking Services: Have delicious, authentic meals prepared for you right in the comfort of your casa. * Laundry Service: No one should have to do laundry on vacation! * Additional Daily Cleaning A Note on Rainy Season Travel (June - October) Don't let the name fool you! "Rainy season" in Chimo typically means gorgeous sunny days with a brief, powerful (and often beautiful!) thunderstorm in the afternoon. However, there are two things to keep in mind: * Power Outages: During heavy storms, the entire region can experience temporary power outages. To ensure your comfort, we have a backup generator that can power the lights and Wi-Fi router. * Road Conditions: The road to Chimo can be more challenging after a rain. For the easiest and most reliable journey during these months, we strongly recommend arriving by boat. If you choose to drive, a 4x4 vehicle is advisable.
