A Cosy and character filled self contained accommodation in a recently converted c1950 dairy nestled in the idyllic Chiltern Valley. Situated on a picturesque 360 acre beef cattle farm the cottage is named after the Black Dog Creek running through the back of the property. A farm stay experience perfect for a couples getaway or an escape from the city offering peaceful tranquility in a rural setting. The space The Dairy is self-contained accommodation approximately 200 meters from the main homestead with complete privacy maintained. The space offers everything that guests may need for both short and longer stays. Enjoy a day out exploring all that the region has to offer, located only a 15 minute drive from well known Rutherglen wineries and 10 minutes from historic Chiltern. Local Amenities and Attractions:- Chiltern has a supermarket open 7 day a week for all necessary amenities and is only a short 10 minute drive. While there it is worth taking a wander and explore what is on offer in this interesting little town. Rutherglen wine region 15 minutes - many small boutique stores to explore. Historic Beechworth 25 minutes Milawa (Wineries & local produce) - 35 Minutes. Albury-Wodonga and Wangaratta - 30 minutes. Guest access We welcome guests to explore the property including a walk to the near by billa-bong. But ask in the interest of bio security shoes are cleaned prior to walking the paddocks. And of course every gate opened must be securely closed. Guests also need to be sensible about wandering through paddocks with long grass as snakes are a possibility. Other things to note This is a bush setting and that comes with many things that are out of our control. Bugs and birds, noisy wildlife - barking koalas, chirping frogs and singing circadas often add to the "atmosphere".
