The Tinkers Cabin is nestled in the heart of Parke County, known for its covered bridges and Turkey Run State Park. It features a lakefront view and direct access to Raccoon Lake, complete with a 30-foot seawall. We love swimming and boating in the summer, enjoying fall colors, and exploring the lakebed in the winter when the water is drained for capacity. In the evenings, you can gather around an outdoor bonfire or stream your favorite movies with free Wi-Fi and smart TV in this cozy cabin. The space All bedrooms are on the second floor Bedroom 1- Queen size bed (sleep 2) Bedroom 2- Two bunk beds (sleep 4 children, 140 lbs max load per bed ) Living room sofa with pulled-out bed (sleep 2) Dining area Smart TV (Roku) with streaming apps (connected to wifi internet), guests can log in using their own account. Front and rear (lakefront) covered decks Kitchen and appliances 30ft seawall Lawn: between the cabin and the lake, between the cabin and the detached garage, between the cabin and the road Firepit (outdoor) Property line ends before the staircase. Guests can access the lake via the community staircase (lake, shoreline and land of the staircase are owned and managed by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) Other things to note Pet policy: No Cats! (Joan has bad allergies! ) Dog(s) must be House and crate-trained. Not allowed on furniture, bedding/blanket, and must stay inside the crate when people are not in the house. Scoop and bag the poop, then dispose of it in the outdoor trash can. ‼️ Army U.S. Corp of Engineers lowers the lake levels every winter. During winter months (around Dec to Feb/Mar) water view is not visible from the back deck ‼️
