The Lower Barn and Garden Barn are two beautiful barn conversions, set around a stunning garden courtyard which overflows with colour throughout the spring and summer. The Lower Barn is a fabulous modern, cottage style barn conversion, with two bedrooms. The Garden Barn is a stunning light filled space with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, with one bedroom and a sofabed in the open plan lounge. The space Booking the Lower and Garden Barns together, is perfect for holidaying with friends or family, providing flexible space for up to 7 guests. The Lower Barn and the Garden Barn are two of three barns making up The Old Coach House, an historic barn setting formerly belonging to the 17th Century farmhouse next door. In a conservation area, this tranquil New Forest location is situated on a quiet lane, a mile and a half from Ringwood. This historic market town has excellent amenities including pubs, restaurants, cafes, one-off shops and a Waitrose. The nearest farm shop is Hockeys, South Gorley, with a cafe and local produce. Each barn is accessed through its own front door. Both are recently fully redecorated and you walk into wonderful light-filled spaces. The Garden Barn The open plan layout leads you through a spacious oak and green kitchen with a central island, into the lounge-diner area, with high vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and nordic chandeliers. Beyond, a door leads into the valuted-ceiling bedroom with ensuite shower room. All of the Garden Barn looks out onto the secluded courtyard garden, with French doors leading out from the lounge to your own patio furniture. The bedroom is painted in calming neutral tones and has a wonderfully comfortable king size bed. If you have a 3rd guest sleeping on the sofabed in the lounge, they will have to come into your bedroom to use the ensuite toilet and shower room. The ensuite has a walk in shower, toilet and hand basin. The Lower Barn You walk into a wonderful light-filled space. The triple aspect lounge-diner leads through French doors onto the secluded courtyard garden, with your own patio furniture. It also leads into the open-plan beautiful oak and cream kitchen and separately into the luxurious bathroom. The two spacious bedrooms are double-aspect and painted in calming neutral tones. The main bedroom has a wonderfully comfortable king size bed, bedside tables and lamps and a pine chest of drawers. The second bedroom is accessed through the main bedroom. It is a beautful twin bedded room with a bedside chest, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Please note, people in your booking staying in the twin room, need to walk through the main bedroom to access the bathroom. The bathroom has a luxury double ended bath, separate walk in shower, toilet and hand basin. Both kitchens have all the amenities if you choose to use them! Fridge, oven, induction hob, microwave and coffee maker, and a washing machine in a separate utility cupboard. The Lower Barn has a fridge freezer. If you need a freezer in the Garden Barn, let us know and we can make available a freezer in the carport. The Garden Barn has a washer/dryer. You will be able to watch Freeview TV and connect to the individual barn's wifi to stream content from your own device using a Google Chromecast. Guest access As you’ve hired both barns, you have sole use of the courtyard. With the garden gate closed, you’ll feel like you are tucked away in your own idyllic retreat. There is a charcoal BBQ, three garden tables with chairs, which you are free to move around and in the summer we have reclining chairs and large sunshades for you to relax in if you aren’t heading out to the forest or beaches. Other things to note Tim and Anna live on site above the Lower Barn, so you might see them around doing the gardening.
