Tour the State Park, explore trails & caves at Merus Adventure Park, or watch bison grazing nearby. You'll be just a few miles from Amarillo with its HUGE steaks & Cadillac Ranch. Or just relax in the quiet & count the brilliant stars at night. The space This tiny house sits on a quiet residential street with great sunset and starlight views. The Birdhouse is well insulated and private if you want to read, catch some old movies, or work remotely. The kitchen is ready for cooking, and the memory foam mattress with extra pillows and bedding is perfect for just lounging. Take off in any direction from Claude to see amazing sights - consult our welcome book on the desk for ideas. Welcome to our piece of the good life! Guest access You get door front parking for 2 vehicles, and 2 1/2 lots (plus the whole small town) to walk your pet. The whole Birdhouse is yours, but the owners are across the street if you need anything. Other things to note Our small town may feel like Mayberry - be sure you wave at people driving or walking by! Behind the Birdhouse is an outdoor seating area overlooking the wildflower and vegetable garden and bird feeding station during the warm months. It's a great place to watch sunsets during the colder months. An old house was torn down where the Birdhouse now sits. If you're the adventurous type, you can borrow our metal detector to see if you can unearth something interesting! We hope you have a happy and comfortable stay.
