Several car rental agencies operate in San Jose, and driving in Curridabat is relatively straightforward, with well-maintained roads and signage. Sixt Rental Car is located within a couple blocks of the Apartment if you choose to rent a car for a few days, and is much less of a hassle than getting a car over by the airport. One of the most popular modes of transportation in Curridabat is the local bus system. The neighborhood is well-served by an extensive network of buses that connect to various parts of San Jose and neighboring towns. Bus stops are easily accessible throughout Curridabat, making it convenient to hop on and off as you explore the area. There are bus stops 50 meters south of the building to go west towards downtown San Jose or you can cross the street and catch a bus going East towards Cartago. Taxis are also readily available and offer a convenient way to get around. You can easily hail a taxi on the streets or find them at designated taxi stands, with the closest being in front of Plaza del Sol, 1 block West of the apartment. It's recommended to use licensed taxis with meters to ensure a fair fare. Personally, I recommend using Uber and InDriver. For those who enjoy active transportation, walking and cycling are enjoyable ways to explore Curridabat. The neighborhood features pedestrian-friendly streets and dedicated bike lanes, allowing you to soak in the sights and sounds at your own pace. No matter which mode of transportation you choose, getting around Curridabat is a seamless experience, enabling you to discover all the hidden gems this captivating neighborhood has to offer. Parking in a covered elevator-garage with an attendant is available for $10 USD per night. This garage can accommodate Sedans and SUVs but not pick up trucks. Please let us know in advance if parking is a requirement for you and a passcode for the parking garage will be provided once you pay the corresponding nights in the Airbnb app and provide your license plate number. The attendant will show you how to use the garage upon your arrival.
