A beautiful quiet location away from it all. On a clear day there is an amazing view of Snowdonia, farmers fields and a small old stone windmill. It is walking distance to 2 pubs, the nearest beach is a 5 min drive or 20min walk down a quiet lane. The local town of Benllech is a 5 min drive offering small tesco, co-op, pubs and restaurants and the bigger town of Langefni is a 10min drive offering a large Asda, Lidl, Aldi etc. There are so many beautiful beaches around and amazing coastal walks. The space I’d like to set expectations here, the cottage is a little rough around the edges but what it lacks in finesse it makes up for in charm. Honestly, if you’re after a 5 star retreat though; then this isn’t the place for you. We are firmly 3 star territory. The garden is huge but is very over grown the further down you go, let us know if you’re brave enough to reach the bottom. The kitchen and bathroom are perfectly functional but a little rough around the edges. There’s a new oven, fridge, microwave and lots of pots and pans but the tiling on the floor isn’t going to feature in interior design magazines anytime soon. I’ve installed a new boiler last year so the stone walls mean the house heats up quick but we also can get a little damp so there’s a dehumidifier if you need it. We’ve just added a small wood burning stove in the living room which makes it very cosy to return home to after a wet walk. There’s new carpet upstairs and comfy beds. The stairs are a little steep and wouldn’t recommend for those with mobility issues. There’s wi-fi (can be intermittent) , a tv and DVD player with lots of charity shop finds and also a bureau with some toys and games to help yourself to. The cottage is perfect for those who love the outdoors, not perfect for anyone who is adverse to a bit of dodgy tile work or peeling paint!
