The Grace Highland Cottage is a perfectly-located home base to explore downtown Brevard and all of Transylvania County. This 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage is only 1/2 mile from downtown and a short walk to shops and restaurants. Minutes from Brevard College, Brevard Music Center, Bracken Preserve, and the Lumberyard. Easy access to the bike path or drive to Pisgah, DuPont, Gorges State Park, and the Parkway. Great for couples, families with children, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The space This home includes a living area with seating for 4-6 people and smart TV with Disney+ and Hulu (or use your login for additional digital services). Books, board games, and puzzles are available for your use. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals, including stainless and non-stick pots and pans, chef knives, dishes, and utensils. Appliances include a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker (with coffee provided), blender, and toaster. A separate dining area has room for everyone to sit and eat. Two bedrooms each have a queen bed with a Sealy mattress and linens provided, with extra blankets and pillows in the closet, plus a pack-and-play to accommodate young children. The bathroom is supplied with a hair dryer, extra towels, and toilet paper. An iron, ironing board, and two portable fans are available for your comfort. Off street parking is located behind the house. No backyard space, but the house does have an enclosed back porch and an open front porch with seating. Space for indoor bike storage on the back porch. Other things to note The Grace Highland Cottage is a non-smoking, no pets property. Pricing and occupancy is based on 4 people (adults and children) maximum. Because the cottage is located on a main road in Brevard, light sleepers might be disturbed by traffic noise in the front bedroom. A sound machine is provided for relaxing white noise. The Cottage is one level, with no steps inside. However, entering the house requires three steps to access the keypad-enabled door on the back porch, or three steps onto the front porch. A ramp provides step-free access to the front door, but the front door must be unlocked from the inside.
