Renovated El Cerrito Gem
Enjoy your time in San Diego, with our home as a jumping off place. It's been newly renovated from top to bottom, is full of light, and super comfortable with 3 beds and a pull-out couch. Our house is near SDSU, and a quick drive to downtown, beaches, Balboa Park and other attractions. Our home is on a quiet street in the El Cerrito neighborhood. Relax, barbecue on the deck, and make yourself at home. It's a two-story home. The living room, dining room, kitchen, half-bath, and first deck, are downstairs. All three bedrooms, another full bathroom, and additional deck are upstairs. On the exterior, the roof, stucco, decks and windows are all brand new. Inside, all the rooms have been renovated, and the carpeting and furniture are brand new. This is our family home, which we've owned for 35 years. We love it immensely and hope that you'll abide by our house rules and be gentle with our lovingly redone space and belongings. We don't live in this house, but check in on it often. That means the closets and dressers are mostly empty, so feel free to unpack! We have towels and bedding, all of which will be clean. And we have pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils, and olive oil and salt and pepper in the kitchen. The house is comfortable and full of light. Downstairs, there is a 55" TV, that swings out on an arm, so everyone on the couches can view. Upstairs, there is a 32" TV in the master bedroom. You may use the whole house, including the washer/dryer in the garage. The garage is an unfinished space so it's dusty! We don't want you to trek into the backyard as it still needs some work and retaining wall to be built. It wouldn't be safe for kids. Rather, please enjoy our two decks and front porch... all with amazing canyon, cul-de sac, sky and quaint neighborhood views. Trust us, there's plenty of outdoor space here! We are available by phone, text, and email, so can answer any questions if you need help. This neighborhood is near San Diego State University. It has a youthful, fun vibe, with lots of shopping areas and restaurants. It's about a 15-20 minute drive from San Diego beaches, the zoo, and Balboa Park. The street itself is quiet, with neighbors who love and care for their homes. Bus lines on El Cajon Boulevard (about 3 blocks away) and College Avenue (7 blocks way). There is parking on-site in the driveway or on the street. PLEASE NOTE: The house DOES NOT have Air Conditioning. The bedrooms all have a fan (ceiling or standing fan). And there are two additional, moveable fans in the home, should you need them. Each room has multiple windows, and the house usually gets a lovely cross-breeze. San Diego is typically quite temperate. But in August and September it can be hot. We want people to enjoy our home and be comfortable, and want guests to have this info in advance.
