Description
Light and airy, the Coach House is the perfect place for a relaxing break. The open plan living room is spacious but cosy and has a stylish mix of antique and modern furniture plus a wood burner for cooler evenings. The whole house is on one level and has been designed to be accessible. We're close to Norwich and the Broads, with the coast only 20 mins away. There is a regular bus service into Norwich from outside the gate, so no need to have a car. Note: not suitable for children under 12. The space We converted the former coach house a few years ago and have completely redecorated and refurbished it to create a lovely space to welcome guests. There is a small, private terrace with a bench, table and chairs for you to have breakfast or evening drinks in the sunshine. We have installed a trellis panel to enhance your sense of privacy. We live across the drive and are usually around to help with advice or tips. We have a small dog called Lola and a cat called Monty, who you may meet. You have a parking space close to the house to make it easy to unload your car and there is level access to the house. Alternatively you can use the bus which stops right outside our gate and goes to the centre of Norwich. If you bring bikes we can show you where to store them under cover. National Cycle Route 1 passes close to the house. The living area and kitchen are open plan and we have mixed some treasured antique pieces of furniture with comfortable modern sofa and chairs. The kitchen itself is well-equipped for any cooking you would like to do, and if you need anything else you just need to ask. There is plenty of storage space in the hall and in the bedrooms. The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bath, sink and loo. If you prefer a shower, there is a separate wetroom with loo and sink off the hall. Please note The Coach House is not suitable for children and we don't take bookings for children under 12 years old. The Coach House was converted to be accessible for anyone with mobility issues. Key accessible features include: - single storey building with no steps inside or outside - wide doorways (front door is 96cm wide, all others are 79cm) - wet room - ensuite bath has handles and there is a handle beside the loo in the ensuite - single floor surface throughout (wooden floor) with very low profile thresholds in doorways - we have purpose-made wooden blocks which we can use to raise the height of the double bed if required - access to the Coach House is via a step free brick path with a hand rail to the right of the path to the front door Other things to note I am a keen gardener and run the Norfolk School of Gardening which is just 3 miles away, on the way into Norwich. Do have a look at our website and let us know if you would like to do a course while you are staying.
