Picture this: a two-story haven, fully furnished, renovated, and decorated to tickle your beachy fancy. Downstairs, there's a queen bedroom and a full bath, making it the perfect spot for early birds who like to catch the sunrise. Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms and another full bathroom, ensuring that everyone has their own slice of beachfront paradise. All bedrooms have wall mounted RokuTVs, blackout cellular shades, dressers, mirrors and closet space. The bedrooms upstairs each have their own dedicated work spaces. But what's a beach house without a kitchen that can whip up feast to rival the local restaurants? Fear not, our gourmet kitchen is here to impress. Stainless steel appliances galore! We're talking a fridge with an ice maker, a microwave, stove/oven, and even a dishwasher. And as if that's not enough, we've stocked it with gadgets that'll make you the beach house chef extraordinaire a griddle, waffle maker, coffee pot, slow cooker, and a Keurig for those caffeine cravings. Plus, there's a propane grill in the backyard for those summer cookouts. When you're not whipping up culinary masterpieces, head to the east-facing front porch. Grab a seat on the comfy patio furniture, sip your coffee, and watch the sunrise; it's a show worth getting up early for. Not a morning person? Roll up the garage door out back and have a seat on some of the comfy lounge furniture while enjoying an afternoon cocktail. You'll find the home just a shell's throw away from the beach (.8 miles to be exact) and if you ever find yourself in desperate need of snacks or sunscreen there's a grocery store just as close, so you can replenish your beachcombing essentials with ease. Grab some of the supplied beach chairs and towels and enjoy FREE parking right next to the beach access or hop on one of the bikes and take a cruise. Uber and Lyft are also readily available throughout Norfolk. Did we mention the Ocean View Golf Course? The house is so close to the nearby golf course that I once hit a hole-in-one while making a sandwich in the kitchen! But wait, there's more! For those days when you want to venture beyond the beach, interstate 64 is your trusty sidekick, providing you with smooth access to all the hot spots, military bases, hospitals, and tourist attractions. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: explore, relax, and enjoy. Across the street, we've got you covered for entertainment and snacks: a city playground for the kids (or the inner child), a dog park for your furry friend, and a 7-11 convenience store for those late-night cravings. There's also a fantastic pizza shop and coffee shop in walking distance. It's like having your very own amusement park, right at your doorstep! Parking? We've got it covered! Your vehicle can rest securely on the property driveway, or you can take advantage of the ample on-street parking available. Laundry day? No problem! There's a washer and dryer right upstairs for your convenience. There's also ironing boards, lint rollers and hair dryers to keep you looking pretty! Plus, a detached garage to stow away your beach gear, bikes and personal belongings. You'll enjoy blazing-fast 1GB speeds courtesy of Cox cable, ensuring that your streaming and video calls are smooth sailing. Unplug and pick a game from a variety of provided board games and puzzles. Before you set sail for this coastal haven, a few notes: - We're all about dogs here! Cats, birds, reptiles, and other critters will have to find their own beach. Just make sure your canine companions have their flea/tick care in check. - We've got the grill and the tank ready for action, but we don't do propane babysitting. If the tank empties out, Harris Teeter on Ocean View Avenue or the Food Shop on First View Street is your propane pit stop. -Our house thermostat is located upstairs. This means that in the cold months, the upstairs reaches set temperature first which can lead to the downstairs areas being chilly. It may take some experimenting to find the ideal temperature for the whole house. -We employ a small army of small and local businesses to keep our property maintained. During your stay, the property may be serviced by landscapers, pest control personnel, and others as needed. They won't need interior access to the home during your stay, but you may see them service the exterior grounds. Please treat these people with respect and allow them to do their jobs. There is one downstairs closet reserved for owners only. Other things to note -The interior furnishings are getting a makeover, so they might not look exactly like the photos. -The home has a Ring Doorbell camera and a Ring Spotlight camera along the driveway. - Guests are encouraged to use the driveway. It can be narrow so full size trucks and SUVs will need to park on the street.
