Manuel Antonio | 5 Bedroom, 4+ Bath, 3 Acres, | Ocean-Views, Central, Private, Forest & Wildlife Casa Mogambo rests on one of the only true expansive estates located in the heart of Manuel Antonio. Surrounded by three acres of primal rain forest, this incredible home and property was designed to take in the close wildlife, rain forest, and ocean views in seclusion and privacy. And all within a convenient few minutes walk to main retail and dining. Casa Mogambo, nestled in the rainforests of Manuel Antonio, is one of those rare vacation rental villas that has everything: Fantastic ocean views, a central location within walking distance to nearly everything, 3 acres of privacy and seclusion, and an abundance of wildlife within the surrounding rainforest. The home is located along Pacific Canyon Drive, which is known for its high end vacation rental homes. Within a 5 minute walk is the main road to Manuel Antonio national park and Playa Espadilla—the area’s main public beach. Close by are numerous great restaurants, bars, shopping, a bank and even a butterfly garden. There are several beaches nearby, and a short drive takes you to Quepos and the Pez Vela marina. Every detail of the home is gorgeous in its architecture and design, maximizing the ocean and rainforest views from every level. The home itself has three expansive levels: The main level with huge wrap-around balcony is dedicated to its spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, a beautiful ocean-view infinity pool, a breakfast bar, a full gourmet chef's kitchen with large center island, and two half baths including an outdoor shower. The upper level, with never ending jungle and ocean views, hosts a gigantic ocean-view master suite with an en suite bathroom with freestanding tub and a private balcony along with a second ocean view master suite with en suite bathroom, an office and media room, and a private balcony. The lower level has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a large ocean and jungle view studio to meditate or practice yoga. The Ocean View Suite has gorgeous ocean views, a private patio entrance and shares a bathroom with the Garden Suite which also has its own private patio entrance. The Jungle Suite has as a en suite bathroom and entrancing large jungle view. The entire property is like a national park in itself. The long driveway leading to the home alone is spectacular, following a tiny creek across a bridge, and past old-growth trees and epiphytes. Because of the healthy surrounding forest, there are tons of animals: white-faced monkeys, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, sloths, toucans, scarlet macaws, iguanas, agoutis and much more. From the terraces around the pool one can view the wildlife at eye-level, making it a paradise for nature lovers. A private hiking trail on the property provides an opportunity to experience the peaceful tranquility of the rain forest alongside a small enchanting creek. Our included concierge can assist you with setting up tours and activities that will pick you up directly at the villa or spa and chef services so that you never have to leave. There is daily housekeeping, and also a caretaker who can assist with anything you need (including sloth sightings!). We are proud of our staff, and they take pride in their work. Casa Mogambo is ready to make your stay an effortless experience to take with you for the rest of your life! Casa Mogambo | Sanctuary For Wildlife – Sanctuary For Your Soul. Note: The driveway is long and steep at the top, and thus it is recommended to have a decent 4x4 vehicle to avoid any challenges. (A van, for example, may have difficulty in going up.) CANCELLATIONS: *** Due to the uncertainty of government regulations or unforeseen personal circumstances, we strongly suggest you purchase travel insurance to cover your trip that is adequate for both your needs and your trip, including cancel for any reason. *** - Unless allowed within the Airbnb cancellation policy, we will not be able to move your reservation to a future date nor can we refund any payments that you have made. Our hospitality manager will be the one who will get back to you and help you with your reservation. We hope to hear from you! Once your reservation is confirmed, our wonderful concierge will send you some information about the property and Manuel Antonio, including tours, restaurants, etc. The concierge will be happy to arrange any transportation, tours, or services before you arrive and during your stay. We recommend that transportation is coordinated ahead of time, as well as any desired tours or important services. There is no other single destination in Costa Rica which has nearly everything you would want to see and do: world-class beaches, a famous national park, tons of tours & activities, plenty of shopping and restaurants, and natural beauty. Also, it is one of the only coastal destinations with all of this AND monkeys swinging through the trees. The mountains, plains, and coast surrounding Manuel Antonio are a wonderland for exploration. Within half an hour you can be in the foothills, surrounded by virgin rain-forest, crystalline rivers, waterfalls, and howler monkeys. Within an hour you have more than two dozen different beaches, dozens of waterfalls, rivers, national parks & reserves, and even several distinct habitats. Your concierge is the best place to start for your transportation needs, whether it be an airport transfer, excursion transportation, a rental car, or local taxis. The public bus is the easiest way to get around. It’s cheap, comes around every 30 minutes and drives between Quepos and Manuel Antonio on the main road, but then again taxis aren’t too difficult to find either. For visitors without a car, official red taxis have a bright yellow sign on the side and are always equipped with a meter (‘La Maria’), but that doesn’t mean they’ll always use it. Make sure you negotiate taxi fare or ask for ‘La Maria’ before you get in to ensure you get the best deal. The opportunity to see a variety of wildlife up close and personal will exceed anything that you encounter in the national park, and all in the privacy and tranquility of your own private nature reserve . Daily wildlife encounters include a variety of monkeys (howlers, titis, and capuchins), sloths, toucans, macaws and many others. And whales (often mother-calf pairs) can be seen right from the balconies during many months of the year as the coastal waters are prime for breeding and feeding.
