The space Set just metres from the beach, Driftwood Cottage is a self-contained Caribbean cottage finished with natural wood, bright colour and thoughtful details. Inside you’ll find: • Open-plan living and sleeping space • Queen-size (UK king) antique four-poster bed • Comfortable seating area • Large bathroom with walk-in shower • Fully equipped separate kitchen • Full air-conditioning (typically used at night) Outside, a shaded ground-level verandah opens onto your private garden and plunge pool — ideal for slow breakfasts, afternoon reading or cooling off between beach visits. From the garden gate, Laborie Beach is just across the road, around a one-minute walk to the sand. Driftwood has a grounded, tucked-away feel while remaining part of the gentle rhythm of village life. Guests who appreciate charm, simplicity and atmosphere tend to feel immediately at home. Driftwood Cottage sits beside Bay Treehouse. A shared kitchen and dining space within the grounds is available by arrangement if both properties are booked together. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the entire cottage, private garden and plunge pool. The heart of Laborie village is around a five-minute walk along the beach or road, with cafés, local bars, restaurants and small shops close by. Hewanorra International Airport (Vieux Fort) is around a 20–30 minute drive away. The Pitons are approximately 40 minutes’ drive away, and much of the island can be explored on day trips while returning each evening to Laborie’s slower pace. Other things to note We provide coffee (instant and ground), tea, sugar, milk, drinking water and basic condiments, along with a hairdryer and two large beach towels. Celebrating something special? We welcome guests of all backgrounds, identities and orientations. Across the road lives a small group of rescued dogs. They’re gentle, well behaved and used to visitors, and you may see them during the day. They may occasionally wander onto the porch, but are not permitted inside the cottage.
