Description
As featured in Home Beautiful The Lady is a colourful waterside haven inspired by the cosy hotels of the British seaside. Sink into the velvet antique sofa and let the view carry you away. The cedar tub is hot and ready for your arrival, with the Tasman Peninsula in the distance. Once a rustic fishing shack, The Lady has been reborn with comfort and character as the guiding ideals. Pattern and colour have brought her to life and made a once boring white box into an enchanting haven for two. The space The Aurora The Lady is named after the Aurora Australis, of which we have a wonderful view (when she dances) from our south facing deck. The Aurora is often referred to as ‘the Lady’ or 'the Aurora Lady’ by enthusiasts and chasers. The best option for guests hoping to witness an Aurora is to consult the Aurora Australis FB group. A copy of 'The Aurora Chasers’ Handbook' is on hand. The Tub The cedar hot tub offers a heavenly experience, positioned to afford a broad, captivating view of Norfolk Bay whilst the hours slip away in blissful submersion. The tub is rain fed and maintained at a glorious 38.4 degrees. Bathrobes and downy towels keep you dry in between dips. The House A brass four poster bed is the romantic centrepiece of the bedroom. A sumptuous mattress, linen sheets and floor length velvet curtains make this a room fit for royalty. From here you can watch the sunrise through the French doors or keep them closed and sleep in longer. An Esse wood heater is the heart of the living area, set with dry wood on arrival. Wallpaper, rugs, lampshades and cushions make for a rich and cosy space, with the view changing constantly through the windows that span the entire width of the house. The galley kitchen is equipped with espresso machine, Smeg appliances and the best view in Tasmania. Guests are supplied with leaf teas, roasted beans and pantry essentials. Things to note: Primrose Sands is a small seaside community. The Primrose Sands General Store has basic supplies, however we highly recommend you bring all the delicious food and drink with you. Hill St Grocer in Dodges Ferry has an excellent selection of Tasmanian produce and is only a short detour if travelling from Hobart. Our little shack sits above Norfolk Bay and looks directly over Lime Bay and the Tasman Peninsula. We enjoy hearing the fishing boats coming and going from the boat ramp below, from the privacy of the hidden deck and hot tub. It's very common to see seals and pods of dolphins in the bay at any time of year, while whales are a rare treat from June to November. We also have a resident echidna and a breeding pair of blue tongues. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property. There is one main bedroom for guest use. Registration Details Exempt: This listing falls under Section 12 of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993
