Relax and mesmerize over the sunsets while enjoying the smoker or BBQ. The space The Fort is a two story home, main floor with a basement. The main floor consists of a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and access to the spacious front deck. The basement consists of three bedrooms, a small kitchenette, a family room, extra linen and game storage, a desk area, a bathroom, and laundry facilities. Below, you will find a description for each room, all bedrooms at The Fort are finished with a themed decor: [Bed space for 12/14 - plus 3 couches, 3 recliners, and a twin mattress for open floor space] Main Floor Kitchen: A spacious kitchen with an expandable table/island with seating for up to 6, and countertop seating with barstools for five. It’s equipped with a large side by side fridge, double oven, four burner electric stove with grill/griddle capability, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker (Pod and Pot), microwave, air fryer, and 32" Samsung Smart TV with Roku device. All these amenities allow for you to enjoy making your favorite meals during your stay. Deck access: A large sliding glass door provides a view of the City of Coeur D' Alene and access to the large deck area. Livingroom: A big, roomy space perfect for relaxing. Kickback in the double recliner sofa, single recliner, couch, or two sitting chairs while enjoying your favorite shows on a 65" Smart Vizio TV with a Roku device. Enjoy the view of the Lake through the large windows while you relax. Bedroom 1: (Paris/Master) A spacious room featuring a king-size bed, 48" Samsung Smart TV with Roku device, private access to a full bathroom with tub/shower, sliding room door access to a private outside patio, two closet areas and two separate dressers. Bedroom 5: (Hawaii) A room for all ages, this room comes with a bunk bed (Twin over Full) and a separate twin bed. Watch your favorite shows on a 32" TV with Roku device. This room also has a small desk area with a computer, printer, and closet sitting area with a background that makes you feel like you are sitting on the beach. Half Bathroom: This bathroom is centrally located on the main floor for all guest to use. One sink and toilet. The Deck: The pride and joy of The Fort is the sizeable 1,250 sq. ft. covered deck. The deck can be enjoyed year-round with clear panels that enclose the deck in the winter months and are removed during the summer. A six-foot directional ceiling fan, a 48" fire table, two propane heaters, and a radiant electric heater are available for use to keep you warm during the winter or those cool summer nights. Enjoy spectacular views looking south over the of Coeur D' Alene Resort golf course and beautiful Lake Coeur D' Alene, and west over the City of Coeur D' Alene. If your lucky, you may even catch a great view of one of the many Fireworks shows that occur throughout the year. The deck also provides for an amazing view of North Idaho wildlife. Turkey and deer frequent the property on a daily basis. Several times a year we also have a large herd of Elk that stop by to show their beauty. Enjoy the views while sitting in one of the many comfortable deck chairs, which includes four high back chairs, two patio recliners, amongst many other seating options. Entertainment? The deck has it. Throw a round of darts on the full size electric dart board. Enjoy a movie or your favorite game on the 75" LG Smart TV with Roku device and a Bose surround sound system. Feel like singing? Pull up a karaoke version of a song on on the TV and sing along with the Sound Town dual microphone Karaoke system. Outdoor cooking? The deck has it. Want to slow cook? The deck features a large Traeger smoker, finish off your meal on the four burner BBQ. Need some grilled vegetables to go with your meal? The deck also has a Blackstone griddle for that. Keep your refreshments cool in the full size side by side fridge located in the deck kitchen area. When your ready to eat, the deck is equipped with a table and chairs to enjoy the fruits of your labor. ____________________________________________ Basement: Bedroom 4: (Asia) The smallest of rooms at The Fort. This room features a Full size bed, small desk area, a 24" Samsung TV with Roku device, and closet, dresser space for your things. Kitchenette: (Ireland) Need a late night snack? The small kitchenette features a mini fridge, small microwave, and a single cup Keurig coffee pot. Laundry Room: Located in the basement you will find a laundry area with washing machine, dryer, and all the supplies you need for staying fresh during your stay. Washer and dryer were upgraded Spring 2025. Full Bathroom: This basement bathroom is centrally located and serves as a common bathroom for all of the downstairs bedrooms. This bathroom has a sink, toilet and shower. Storage Room: Located in the hallway of the basement, this storage room holds the extra supplies that you might need during your stay. Extra bedding and blankets, extra cooking hardware such as crockpots, a roaster, Insta-pot, magic bullet, and additional kitchenware. This is where you will also find a large selection of board games, and other items for your entertainment. This is also where you will find an extra twin mattress that can be used on open floor space. Bedroom 3 : (USA) A large bedroom, with a king-size bed, rocking chair, small dresser and a large closet to hang your clothing. Family room: This comfy family room with a North Idaho theme, provides a peaceful place to relax. It features, two couches, a 60" Samsung TV with Roku device, a rocking chair, and two bean bag chairs. There is also a large desk space for those that need to check in with the office. You will also find two different toy chest for those smaller ones, a Fooz-Ball table, and a Zazz 20-K Wellness machine. Bedroom 2 : (Marilyn Monroe) Yet another spacious bedroom, with a king-size bed, dresser and closet. Fall asleep to your favorite show with a 48" LG TV with a Roku device. ________________ Outdoors: The backyard space is a perfect spot to unwind. Enjoy an evening of smores and story telling by the fire. Soak in the warmth while sitting on some of the natural stumps or chairs that can be found in the outdoor shed. You will have access to firewood so no need to fire up your chain saw. Guest access Guest have access to the entire property with the exception of the garages. The two indoor fireplaces are not available for use. Door access via keyless entry: The home is accessed by a front door digital keypad. On the day of arrival, guests will be sent the door code to access the home. Other things to note One bottle of propane is provided for each device during your stay. Firewood will be provided for the fire pit in the backyard.
