Enjoy peace and quiet in this beautiful, brand new country home nestled into your own private forest on our 10 acre farm. Less than 10 minutes away from Parksville beaches, Englishman River Falls and Goats on the Roof Market. Our guesthouse is the perfect home base to explore the area from. If you’re a cyclist or mountain bike enthusiast just hop on your bike right from the house and head to the famous Mt Arrowsmith Hammerfest bike trails just down the road. The space We have built a beautiful spacious 3 bedroom rancher at the back of the property. There is a lovely open kitchen that is perfect for preparing and sharing meals with family and friends over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The main bedroom has a feature window that highlights the green forest and a sliding glass door onto a patio overlooking the forested area. There is a zero clearance shower in the main bathroom. The hope is to add a ramp in the future to offer fully accessible accommodation. The Second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a queen Murphy bed with a small desk for dedicated office work. The main bathroom has a tub. There is a washer dryer in the house. The living room features a lovely electric fireplace. The space is cozy and comfortable and a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the country views. We have left the land adjacent to the guesthouse wild as we plant a pollinator garden for our bees, but there is plenty of groomed grassy space to run about in, explore, have a family soccer game, or just lie back in the grass and watch the clouds go by. Guest access You’ll have complete privacy in the back area of approximately 2 acres behind the barn and access to a lively grassed field where we keep our bees!We welcome you to make use of this lovely space whether you want to play a family soccer game, or simply run about and enjoy the fresh country air. There are all kinds of creatures that you might encounter from eagles and woodpeckers to bunnies and deer. Feel free to visit the bees especially when we are working them. We’re happy to show you how amazing they are! Other things to note We have 3 friendly dogs ( 2 golden retrievers and a pug) that live on our property but they are kept away from the guesthouse. As this is a working farm, you may see some farm equipment around or see us working in the fields planting, harvesting or watering. There is a charming old rustic barn on the property where we store equipment and dry our garlic. We are working on improving the landscaping around the guest house while we also want to protect pollinators by using a grass alternative lawn and wildflower meadow.
