The view out of the large windows is trees and forest which contributes to a feeling of being utterly surrounded by nature. We are located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains--the peaks are close, but cannot be seen from the apartment. We live above, and are The space Canebrake Road is a graveled country lane with curves. Our house is at the top of the lane on the left--the entrance to the driveway is manned by a cement sheep sporting the house number 565 around his neck, and is officially .56 miles from the beginning of Canebrake Road. Pass the mailbox for #566 on your right, and fork left into our driveway. At night, aim for the streetlight atop our garage. The kitchenette has all you need for quick and easy meals. Fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, hot plate, (if requested), coffee maker, full sink and complete dishware. The living area has a smart TV, books, cards, games, and magazines to keep you occupied in the evening hours. The studio is very spacious, and if you have a child, the sofa will suffice, or we can provide a small cot. The surrounding woods are peaceful and enveloping--conducive to long and restful sleeps. The calls of birds and katy-dids are just about all that you may hear.... Please consider taking out travel insurance which is available at check-out, or even after booking, through Airbnb. Guest access Guests can park up in the top driveway area where it is easier to maneuver. The apartment is very private and secluded from the main house entrances. Other things to note We have a nice walking circuit, right out the front door, which takes you through the woods. Harmon Field is a 2 minute walk down the lane, with multiple sports amenities and the Pacolet River to walk along.
