Description

Enjoying a true rural location on the edge of the Wye Valley, this cottage encourages two guests to steal away and stay undisturbed in South Wales. In between nights of lounging in front of the wood burner or savouring drinks in your courtyard garden, step out and appreciate the endless hiking opportunities found within close reach. The space You’re welcome to bring your dog to this pet-friendly place, setting off on long walking routes within the Wye Valley (2 miles), in the Brecon Beacons (14 miles) and along the River Severn (10 miles). It’s also well-positioned for tours of beautiful local towns close by, including Usk (6 miles), Chepstow (7 miles) and Monmouth (11.5 miles). This stable conversion on the grounds of an old rectory has been modernised to an exceptional standard with luxury interiors set across two floors. The ground floor presents an open-plan layout with a kitchen, lounge and diner in one sociable space. The wood burner is in here to keep you cosy throughout mealtimes and whilst collapsed in front of the Smart TV. Having enjoyed a snuggly night indoors, move on up to the first-floor king-size bedroom with soft linens and a skylight above. There’s also a sophisticated bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower. Just outside, a small terrace offers an elevated spot to sit with morning coffee. Surrounded by endless fields and winding country roads, discover adventure from every direction of this countryside cottage. Move towards the River Wye and peruse the ancient ruins of Tintern Abbey (6.5 miles) and the mystical woodlands of Wyndcliff Wood (6 miles) with the Eagle’s Nest viewpoint offering uninterrupted views across the Severn bridges and on to the Cotswolds on a clear day.
