Book your stay at The White House and experience Santa Cruz La Laguna in style and comfort. 🌿 The space Welcome to our stylish and comfortable home – an oasis of peace and luxury with breathtaking views! Through the front door, you enter our spacious and bright home. The high ceilings and tastefully finished walls immediately provide a warm and impressive reception. Ground floor: On the ground floor, you will find a spacious open kitchen, complete with a cooking island, large gas stove, fridge with freezer and plenty of storage space. Everything is available to prepare delicious meals. Next is the cozy living room with a large television, soft comfortable sofas and a coffee table – perfect for cozy evenings indoors. In front of the elegant black steel windows is a 6-person dining table, where you can dine overlooking the lake, the volcano, the garden and the pool. Through the side door, you reach a spacious balcony/patio with a cozy seat to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine outdoors. On this floor is also a first bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with a shower. French doors provide direct access to the balcony and the beautiful views. Upper floor: On the upper floor you will find the second spacious bedroom with also a private bathroom, this time with a bath and hand shower. Here too, French doors give access to the balcony with panoramic views. The bedrooms both have comfortable queen size beds, flat screen TVs and convenient storage space. Downstairs there is a spacious walk-in closet with shelves, while upstairs there are bedside tables and a dresser. Upstairs is also a cozy sitting area with a comfortable sofa – ideal for relaxing with a good book and enjoying the view. Additional amenities: The home features high-speed STARLINK WiFi, so you're always connected – whether you're working, streaming, or surfing. Guest access Santa Cruz offers exclusive access by boat - whether public or private - due to the lack of connecting roads. Boats navigate the water consistently during the day and provide accessible and reliable transportation. If you come by car, we recommend parking in Panajachel and enjoying a picturesque boat trip to Santa Cruz, which will enhance your experience with a picturesque journey across the vast lake. Please provide your arrival time and our Guardian will welcome you at the Santa Cruz dock. Through winding paths, our Guardian will guide you to the white house. Pay a little attention during the walk. If you arrive in the evening, bring a light. Once you have taken the last bend and the blue bridge is in sight, a landmark for Locals, a black entrance gate rises on your left with the White House behind it. Via the winding path, which reminds me of the wizard of Oz, you walk through the expansive garden to the house. The house is entirely at your disposal. Only the basement area is accessible via the Guardian or housekeeper, here you will also find the washing machine. Other things to note Stay: Your stay in our accommodation and use of the swimming pool is entirely at your own risk. No glass may be used at the swimming pool, and diving is not allowed. It is cleaned automatically, and the temperature is on average 24 degrees Celsius. We do not accept any liability for Groceries : You can best bring your groceries from Panajachel. There is a large supermarket here. In Santa Cruz, you will find small shops with vegetables, fruits, etc. Cooking service: If you want meals cooked during your stay, there are local women who can cook for you. Just ask, and we will forward the request. The local ladies will buy the necessary groceries for you, and you can pay them back directly. This service is only available with advance reservation and payment through Airbnb. Electricity: In Guatemala, the power regularly goes out. But not in The White House. Through our Solar/Battery system, we are guaranteed of electricity. Water: The water is heated during the day with solar panels, so shower as much as possible during the day -> Energy neutral!! The water will cool down in the evening. But here too, a back-up system with gas heating for the tap water is available. See the instructions in the Guide Book! The White House has 2 large water filters, so the water is as pure as possible. Please note: no drinking water. Santa Cruz and surroundings: Santa Cruz is surrounded by greenery. Of course, various animals and insects also live here. Please be aware of this. Anticipate a noise level similar to that of a typical Central American village, which includes music from churches, dogs barking, fireworks, music, construction, announcements, children playing and other sounds. Your understanding of this aspect typical of villages in Guatemala and Latin America is very much appreciated. Garden/Pool: The garden is getting more and more color and the pool is ready. One ideal place to enjoy the tranquility, the sun and the surroundings. Liability: The tenant acknowledges and agrees that the owner of the accommodation accepts no liability for any damage, loss, theft, injury or other disadvantage arising from the use of the home, the facilities or the surroundings. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to personal property, bodily injury or death, both for the tenant and for any guests of the tenant. It is the tenant's responsibility to take appropriate precautions and ensure that the use of the accommodation is done in a safe and responsible manner. The tenant is advised to take out travel insurance or other appropriate insurance for personal protection and damage during the stay.
