This is the perfect place for a getaway near the beach. Tiny House provides you and your dog comfort and privacy in a quiet neighborhood close to the dog friendly Poplar Beach. We provide the basics to prepare small meals in our kitchenette. You have close access to miles of coastal trails, great shopping and dining in downtown (1 mile away). Ritz Carlton is just 2 miles South of us. The Harbor also has great options for dining. Many trails for hiking and biking very close by. The private entrance to the space is alongside the garage, down a well-lit path, and behind two gates. This Tiny house is small and quaint-- about 360 square feet including the loft. It is a loft studio with a kitchenette, toilet, shower, and a queen bed. The loft also has a queen-size bed. A private patio with outdoor seating makes this a perfect place to relax in our quiet neighborhood. The beach is about 700 yards through the neighborhood. The south-facing backyard is full of greenery and completely private. Note: The fire table has been removed due to fire safety. This place is perfect for two people, tight for three people, and very tight for four. Please look carefully at the photos to make sure the place is suitable for you and your party. This is a small space. Especially note the shower and the toilet areas as they open up to the main space. The unit is powered by solar energy and has a battery backup system. We do not use natural gas in this unit at all. Guest access is through a side gate to the left of the garage. You will go through two gates before arriving into your private space. The door to the right of you as you walk along the alley between the two gates belong to housekeeping You have your own private yard and private building. You will not be sharing any space with the residents of the main house but please be aware that our neighbors are very close by and many have bedrooms around the your yard so please be aware of it and follow our house rules regarding noise. The neighbors all know each other and keep a keen eye on things. We feel very safe in this neighborhood. Parking is only permitted along the property itself-- no parking in front of neighbors' houses. We always make ourselves available via text, e-mail, and phone. The residents of the main house are our tenants but we, your hosts, live right down the street. The private entrance will allow you to come and go as you feel comfortable. The cottage is on the west side of historic Highway One (The side where the beach is) so you don't have to cross any busy streets to stroll down to the beach. Access to miles and miles of trails and pristine beaches is literally a 7 minute walk away. This is a regular neighborhood so there will be dogs barking, kids playing, and neighbors getting up early in the morning to go to work. You need a car to get here but once you get here you can walk/bike to town (across a small highway that has a cross walk on Poplar st., 2 blocks North of here) where you will find great food and some touristic shopping. Accessing the beach is merely a 7 minute walk. This space is ideal for families and very close friends as privacy is limited so please scrutinize the pictures closely before booking. We are pet-friendly hosts and welcome your pet friends. We ask that your pets stay off of the beds. We have dog beds available (small and large). We provide bags to help you pick up after your dog on the property as well as in the neighborhood and the beach. You can find them in the basket on top of the microwave. There is a Ring camera/doorbell on the internal gate facing the pathway up to the cottage. Press this or call us if you need to get in touch.
