The space Lakeview - Your Quintessential Lakeside Retreat Lakeview is a charming, original beach cottage, nestled in an extraordinary location, right on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. This laid-back 3-bedroom cottage comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests, making it the ideal space for a relaxed family vacation. With two Queen beds and two Single beds, there's room for everyone to unwind and make lasting memories. As you step onto the wide, sheltered back deck, you'll be greeted by a captivating view of pristine Lake Cootharaba. This is the perfect spot to gather for a barbecue, lounge in the outdoor seating area, and take in the serene water vistas. Lakeview boasts a northern orientation, ensuring plenty of natural light and the gentle, refreshing breezes off the lake. Inside, you'll discover a beautiful, freshly renovated bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet, along with the convenience of a washing machine and dryer. The heart of the home is an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area, thoughtfully equipped and tastefully updated for your comfort. To keep you cool and comfortable, all three bedrooms are air-conditioned. Lake Cootharaba is renowned as one of the world's premier flat-water sailing venues, attracting sailors from near and far. On calm days, the lake becomes a playground for paddlers and rowing enthusiasts, while it also offers a haven for those looking to cast their lines for a day of fishing. On a hot summer afternoon, there's no better place for a refreshing swim than in the crystal-clear waters of the lake. Beyond the tranquil shores of Lake Cootharaba, you'll find access to some of the region's most spectacular natural wonders. To the north lies the renowned Noosa Everglades, a place of unique beauty and serenity. To the south, the lake connects to the Noosa River system, opening up a water highway to Tewantin and the iconic Noosa Heads. Lakeview is perfectly positioned, just a scenic 30-minute drive from the bustling beaches, shops, and restaurants of Noosa Heads. If you need to stock up on supplies or explore a vibrant urban center, Tewantin is a mere 15-minute drive away. Lakeview offers the best of both worlds: a serene lakeside escape and easy access to the vibrant attractions of Noosa. Come and experience the magic of Lakeview for yourself! Guest access The whole house Other things to note RAIN WATER TANKS ALL water in Boreen Point is collected off our roofs and stored in rain water tanks. This is our only source of water. Please adopt water saving habits when in the house. Do not wash boats or cars. Be aware of water usage. BOIL YOUR DRINKING WATER The local residents drink directly from the tanks, though many have filters, and are accus- tomed to the water quality. However, it is highly recommended that you BOIL ALL DRINKING WATER and store in the fridge. This is particularly important after rain. Alternatively you can purchase bottled drinking water from the general store. SEPTIC SYSTEM Please don’t dispose any foreign objects into the toilet like nappies, wipes or similar. As this will cause blockage. POWER LOSS Please be aware that blackouts can occur at anytime, but more frequently during storms and lightening strikes. When power goes off, you will not have access to water, as water is pumped into the house from the water tanks. Please ensure if a storm is on approach you have adequate drinking water. Toilets can be flushed with a bucket with water from the lake if necessary. If a blackout occurs at night you will need a torch or candles to see. Most houses pro- vide candles for power outages at night, please ensure they are kept in a solid container to avoid the risk of fire and use for blackouts only.
