Hacienda is the remodelled and biggest house in the former La Posada de Santiago. The house has a huge garden and a balcony with great lakeviews. From Hacienda it is 100 mtr to the lakeside facilities: pool jacuzzi, sauna, dock, kayaks, BBQ place, firepit, yoga hut. These are shared by some 8 cottages. For people who want to relax and enjoy nature. Not for parties. The cottage is located in La Posada de Santiago. ''La Posada'' is a small community with some 12 cottages and a restaurant. All properties have different owners. La Hacienda is situated like all the other cottages at the upper part of the property. La Hacienda is the biggest and most spacious of all the cottages in the communities. It also has the biggest garden. The lake side facilities are across the street and shared between the various cottages. Please note, that from La Hacienda to the shore of the lake it is about 80 meters. Santiago Atitlan is one of those authentic indigenous and picturesque villages at the shore of Lago Atitlan. Check out the market, the numerous artisan shops, and do not forget to check out Maximón, the traditional Maya deity who resides in Santiago Atitlán. Lake Tours can take you anywhere you like. San Juan la Laguna and San Marcos are recommended destinations. Hikes—Guides can take you on short hikes, a full day volcano climb or an overnight expedition. ANTIGUA-SHUTTLE to PANAJACHEL You can take a shuttle (100Q) from Antigua to Panajachel. There are many travel agencies in Antigua where you can organize the shuttle. Search on internet. From Panajachel you take a boat at the Tzanjuyu dock (25Q) to Santiago Atitlán. Last boat leaves aroud 5.30pm. From the public dock in Santiago Atitlan, you can take a tuctuc to La Posada de Santiago ( 5Q pp). AIRPORT-SHUTTLE to PANAJACHEL There are also shuttles from the airport to Panajachel. Search on internet. PANAJACHEL TO SANTIAGO ATITLAN BY PUBLIC BOAT From Panajachel you take a boat at the Tzanjuyu dock to Santiago Atitlán (25Q). Last boat leaves aroud 5.30pm. From the public dock in Santiago Atitlan you can take a tuctuc to La Posada de Santiago (5Q pp). PRIVATE BOATS FROM and to PANAJACHEL We can provide information about private boats (around 450Q). Private boats can come to our private dock 'La Posada Santiago'). SAN PEDRO TO SANTIAGO ATITLAN BY PUBLIC BOAT Make sure you are at the right dock to go to Santiago Atitlán (20-25Q). Last boat leaves aroud 5pm. From the public dock in Santiago Atitlan you can take a tuctuc to La Posada de Santiago (5Q pp). TAXI You can also go directly with a taxi. We can put you in contact with a driver who we trust and who knows our place. He charges 120$ from Antigua and 150$ from the airport (one way). Please note that UBER, although they tell you differently, until now never drove to Santiago Atitlán. Instead, they drop you in Panajachel. PARADON-SHUTTLE to SAN PEDRO There is a shuttle from Paradon (beach) to San Pedro de la Laguna as well. Search on internet. Before arriving in San Pedro, the shuttle can drop you off at the main gate of La Posada de Santiago.
