Melur Farmhouse

HG-00018814 Melur is an old farmhouse, built in 1923, but has been renovated in recent years. The house has a quiet and cozy feel about it and is the perfect location to relax and recharge surrounded by Icelandic nature. At the same time it is also close to many of the major attractions in south of Iceland. From Melur you have a unique mountain view with volcanoes Hekla in the north and Eyjafjallajökull in the east - and in the south you can see the Westman Islands rising from the sea. The space On the ground floor you find the heart of the house - a cozy dining room. It has heating in the floor and a large wooden table which can easily sit 12 people. Adjacent to the dining room is a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor you will find a bathroom which is divided into two small spaces; the first one is a WC with a washer and the other has a bathtub. The living room which is also on the first floor is the perfect place to relax in a comfortable sofa, read books, play some records or watch TV. The master bedroom which is adjacent to the living room has a queen size bed. The top floor is a large open attic room with 2 single beds, 1 double bed and 3 floor mattresses. The garden surrounding Melur is filled with trees and flowers. It also has a large patio facing south with dining table and chairs.
