This charming home is a pleasant 15-minute stroll from the heart of downtown Oberlin. The college/conservatory, Mercy Hospital, and a great yarn shop are all within a few blocks! The house is full of character and modern upgrades—like an induction stove and a seldom-watched TV—and you'll share the space with me and my roommate. The space The house is over 100 years old with plenty of character. The fireplace is decorative/non-functional. There are some great upgrades, like an induction stove in the kitchen (for better indoor air quality) and a Japanese-style bidet in the bathroom. There's a flat-screen TV with HDMI ports, but there's no cable or streaming services. If you bring your own cable/connection, you're welcome to hook up your laptop. Guest access You'll be staying in one bedroom, and you'll have access to the shared bathroom. Both are located on the second floor. On the ground floor, you'll have access to all shared spaces (living room, dining room, kitchen). There are stairs at both the front and back porches. There are no railings or ramps, and this home is not suitable for wheelchairs. During your stay I live and work here. Throughout your stay, I'm available as much or as little as you need. Other things to note *Please do not wear shoes indoors. House slippers or thick socks are recommended. *This is a non-smoking listing. Please do not smoke/vape (anything) anywhere on the property. Not even the front porch or backyard. *This house is not accessible/not ideal for folks with mobility issues. The bedroom and bathroom are both located on the second floor.
