Hosting large groups and families for over a decade, this established cottage rental property is the destination of choice for those looking for a spacious, private, and fun place to create unforgettable memories. With many return customers year after year, you have to see for yourself the charm of 'The Edge' and book your next family getaway with us. We would love to consider hosting your group. Summer: weekly Saturday to Saturday bookings The space Our cottage is geared towards multi-generational families and mature guests. We offer a smoke-free, pet-free space for groups to spread out over the 4500 sq ft space, 2000 sq ft wrap around deck, or 465 ft of water frontage to enjoy time together or time alone. There are four bathrooms and six enclosed bedrooms plus a loft area with two sets of bunk beds suitable for up to 4 children. We have a long driveway enabling the parking of at least 6 vehicles. Guests have previously brought trailers with boats, sleds, and sea-doos in tow. 45 mins to Haliburton Forest (incredible snowmobiling trails) and 35 mins to Sir Sam's Ski/Ride. You may see people snowmobiling, ice fishing, or skating on the lake during your stay. What is provided: -We provide all equipment needed for cooking/baking, some spices, salt and pepper, cleaning supplies, paper towel (starter pack), toilet paper, kitchen linens, hand towels, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, dish soap, sponge, hand soap, propane for the BBQ. -Regular coffee machine and Nespresso Essenza mini (bring own pods) -Comforters/duvets, pillows -Firewood -Canoes, kayak, stand-up paddle board (SUP), life jackets What to bring: -Bed sheets (fitted sheet and top sheet), and bath towels. Guest responsibilities: -There is no waste pickup service in Haliburton so recycling and garbage must be taken to the landfill at the end of your stay. A landfill pass is provided so there is no additional fee. The landfill is ~7 minutes away. -The hot tub is operational year-round and requires the use of hot tub shocks during your stay to keep the water clean and sanitized. -Please leave the cottage as you've found it. Before arrival, we will provide a cottage guide for your review to provide additional details about our cottage and how you can best prepare for your trip and enjoy your stay while there. Guest access Full access to the cottage with the exception of two closets and garage. Other things to note Regarding accessibility, kindly note there are 100 steps of stairs to the lake. Also, in the winter, you must not drive down to the cottage front doors but park by the garage; thus, guests will need to walk down the hill or a set of stairs to enter the cottage.
