Welcome to Riverstone Cottage, which is nestled alongside Balmoral Brook and offers breathtaking views from every window of the cottage. The cottage is conveniently located only 10 minutes from the heart of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia. This hidden gem is perfect for those who love enjoying the outdoors and still enjoy the luxury of having a comfortable spot to sleep at night. Come spend the night at Riverstone Cottage and let the sound of the babbling brook wash away your worries. The space The Cottage is open concept with a loft bedroom accessible by ladder. It’s designed to sleep four people comfortably. It’s most suitable for couples or small families. Bed #1 – This bed is located on the main floor of the cottage. After a long day of exploring the outdoors, come sink into your cozy and comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress and relax. The cottage is open concept, so there is no separation from the bedroom, living room or kitchen. There are curtains for every window if you do not prefer to wake up when the world does. Bed #2 – This bed is in our loft area. The loft is only accessible by ladder and should be considered when travelling with young children. The second bed is also a super comfortable queen-sized ENDY mattress, which will provide you a comfortable place to relax after a long day of exploring. Kitchen/BBQ – The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, Keurig coffee machine (pods only) and toaster. We provide pots, pans and the basic kitchen essentials needed for everyday use. We also provide a BBQ for guests to use, which is located on the side of the cottage. Bathroom – We have a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. We provide towels for our guests during their stay. Temperature Control – The cottage is equipped with a heat pump which is ideal for any weather. If you like it freezing cold or extra warm, choose which temperature is good for you. There is also additional baseboard heating to help make the cottage toasty warm in the winter months if you so choose. Dog Policy – We are pet friendly! Please contact us and tell us a little about your furry friend before booking. Please ensure to add your furry friend to the reservation when booking, as a $50 additional cleaning fee will be applied. Outdoor Area – We are nestled right next to the Balmoral Brook, which offers a private swimming spot in the warmer months. We have a large wrap around deck with glass panels, which allows you to enjoy the beautiful view of the brook and surrounding area. There is also a lower platform right next to the water for those who love the sound of the babbling brook. There is a propane fire table for guests to enjoy as well. This is an ideal location for those wanting to relax and become one with nature again. We promise you will not be bored during your stay here. Guest access The entire cottage and property surrounding the cottage is yours to explore. There are no shared spaces. Other things to note The water is not-potable, so we ask that guests do not drink it. We do provide some water for drinking, but recommend guests bring their own as well. We provide a few coffee pods for your stay, but if your an avid coffee drinker I would suggest bringing more with you There is no cell service at the cottage. This might be a relief to some but may be required for others. We do provide Wifi and recommend enabling “Wifi Calling” on your device to ensure you can still receive/make calls while staying at the cottage.
