The space The carriage is situated on its own huge fully fenced area next to our house on our three-acre block. There's room to chill, roll out the yoga mat on the grassed area or even kick a ball around if you wish. We have some rare, white fallow deer, a few sheep, chooks, and a couple of wee dogs. We're surrounded by lifestyle blocks and small farms with livestock, allowing you to reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Whatever the reason for your stay, we welcome you to enjoy the vibe of a bygone era in this unique, purpose-built railway carriage, designed to cater to your every comfort. Cozy and comfortable with huge fluffy towels and luxury linens, this compact space offers a queen-size bed with an electric blanket, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and more! Guest access Galloway is an easy ride or a few minutes' drive from Alexandra in Central Otago. Our closest airports are Queenstown and Dunedin. Come see us, through the white railway gate, your carriage awaits. Other things to note PETS: Vaccinations: These need to be up to date please. If you can send through a pic of your fur babies current vaccination cert would be very much appreciated at the time of booking. As we are a pet friendly stay it's important that all our fur babies are safe and well. Bedding can be supplied, but we've found that pets do prefer the comfort of their own bedding, please advise if you need us to supply bedding for your fur baby. There really is limited space in the carriage so more suited to a small companion. We have a kennel for larger dogs if preferred. It's fully insulated, and placed in the shade for comfort. It is thoroughly cleaned between doggy guests and therefore an extra charge is applicable if used. We also have a bike carrier for small dogs for hire. If you would like to leave your dog with us for the day or a few hours whilst you go do an activity, we would be happy to discuss this with you. This would be strictly on a case-by-case basis and by no means guaranteed. Just ask well in advance! Kennel and carrier hire is $25, payable if used. RECOMMENDATION: Delays and cancellations due to sickness, bereavement, injury, weather etc can occur. Travel Insurance is always recommended when you travel Internationally or domestically. Travel Insurance from Cover More has great short term and long term affordable travel insurance for cancellations or more comprehensive cover as well. NON-SMOKING: We’re a non-smoking Airbnb inside and out. Should there be any breach of this request your stay will be terminated and there will be a $500 min, deep clean fee sent through for your payment. Please do respect this request.
