Double Room in Family Home

A spacious double room in a warm, welcoming family home, nestled in one of the area's most sought-after villages. The accommodation blends contemporary style with genuine comfort. About us: We're a family of four with two young children, two cats, and a friendly Pomeranian. The room: A bright front-facing room with street views. The dedicated guest bathroom may occasionally be shared with other guests. Kitchen access: Available throughout the day, except 7–9pm when we use it for family meals. The space This is our family home and we live at the property with our children and small pets. Our cats are restricted to part of the house and do not enter guest bedrooms. We have been hosting since 2023 and enjoy meeting new people. We have 3 bedrooms that we offer up via Airbnb. We do have free parking. We can sometimes offer off street parking depending on what is available at the time. We do allow kitchen access but not between 7pm and 9pm. Guest access The village of Askham Bryan derives its popularity not only from its pleasant character but also its very convenient position for all those commuting to and from Leeds and other West Yorkshire centres along the A64 to the A1 motorway and M1 link road. We are 3.9 miles from the centre of York. Bus stops are 2 mins and 8 mins walk away from our house. The latter runs the Coastliner Bus service into York every 30 minutes. We are also less than a 5 min drive to Askham Bar Park and Ride where you can get the bus into the centre of York. The property is accessed through a pillared entrance with a remote operated sliding gate. Guests will be met in person on arrival. Access to family kitchen but not between 7:00pm - 9:00pm during family meal time. During your stay I am always available to help guests or answer questions during their stay.
