The space Located on the summit of the Hollywood Hills, you will find our private oasis perfect for a couples getaway or a small family retreat. Our 2-bedroom home is nestled among the trees in a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end road. Its proximity is just a short two mile drive to downtown Old Forge or a quick 10-minute drive to our adorable, neighboring Town of Inlet. We have many activities for any adventurer nearby. Enchanted Forest Water Safari and Calypso's Cove is a big hit with the kiddos in the summertime. If you are looking to be more physical, there are biking and hiking trails galore within minutes of the house. The expansive mountain biking trail system at McCauley Mountain will be sure to add a thrill to your day. Wear a helmet! If a day on the water is what you are feeling, check out the local town beach, rent a kayak from Mountainman or a motor boat from Rivets Marina. Are you a golf enthusiast? Thendara Golf Club is one of the most pristine, 18-hole public golf courses around and includes a driving range. You can also get competitive with the kids at Nutty Putty mini golf and finish it off with Benny's Ice Cream as a treat. The best part to start or end any day, is relaxing on the large deck while enjoying the sounds of nature. Grab your morning cup of coffee or your afternoon cocktail and soak in the peace and quiet. After you have filled your days of adventure, just plan a day to stay home, grill a steak and sit around the campfire. (Please note that the grill and fire pit are only available during non-winter months!) For the wintertime enthusiasts, we have McCauley Mountain nearby. It's one of the best little ski mountains in the east that offers trails for any ability. We also live in a snowmobile mecca. Although the snowmobile trails CAN NOT be accessed from the house, there is plenty of trailer parking by the nearby trailhead on North Street. No matter what your visit entails, we are the perfect base camp for adventures in any season. Guest access Guests will have full access to our beautiful Adirondack charmer! Other things to note We are a short drive to town. TRAILERING to and from the house is NECESSARY for boats and snowmobiles. There is NO lake or trail access from the house.
