The home is heated by both the gas fireplace and electric wall heat. The main source of heat, the cozy fireplace is controlled by a remote thermostat that hangs on the wall in the living room. However, especially frigid days will require you to turn on the electric heat in the bedrooms upstairs. A portable electric heater is also available.
