House sits on 9.5 acres abutting a 28 acre semi-private lake surrounded by 325 acres of state protected land. Bdrm 1 has a queen bed. Bdrm 2 has 2 queen beds. Bdrm 3 has 1 king bed and 1 twin bed with a twin pull out trundle bed. Bedroom 4 has a full bed along with a twin bed and a twin bunk bed. Breakfast knook has a futon. Living rm has 3 large leather couches. House sleeps 18 people. Pets are welcome with a fee of $50/pet. Very large all wood living room with Cathedral ceilings and huge barn beams. Floor to ceiling fireplace. Glass doors from the living room to the deck have great views of the lake. There are many lettered trails for hiking, Biking, Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing. Use of the 28 acre lake for swimming, boating and fishing (license required). The previous owner had all 335 acres and sold 10 to me and 325 to DEC. Guests have access to our 9.5 upkept acres, the entire use of the lake and are welcome to explore the surrounding 325 of wild and unkempt government protected land. There are 3 canoes, 2 kayaks and 1 paddle board rentals available on site for the lake. Rentals are $30.00 each/day or rent the fleet for $100/day. Additionally, we have a rotisserie charcoal BBQ grill available to rent for $50.00 and a regular gas grill for your use. We can usually be found milling around the property working on projects and improvements. We welcome questions and are available to answer any questions or help out. We do try and keep a low profile and stay out of our guests way, but we do also enjoy interacting with anyone who feels like doing so. Windham is a wonderful place to live, visit, and explore any time of the year. Found in the northern Catskill Mountains there is something for everyone of all walks of life to do in this slice of heaven on earth. Serendipity Lake House is a 5 minute drive into the town of Windham and to Windham Mountain Ski Resort. We provide plenty of parking on the property. While taxi service is available on the mountaintop, the service providers are limited.
