Come relax in our slice of the woods. We call it Camp Olio, a log cabin with lots of charm. It sits on a few acres of mostly wooded land. We love that it has the mountain cabin feel, but you are less than a mile from the main road. You're only 13 beautiful miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and close to Knoxville, Maryville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. It's a cozy spot with a patio dining area, hot tub, fire pits, porch swing, and hammocks. What we love about the cabin: It simply feels peaceful and comfortable. It’s not perfect, but it’s charming. The main area of the cabin is the living room, dining space, and kitchen. We love that it’s one big room…it’s perfect for hanging out. The basement is unfinished and nothing fancy, but it does have a ping pong table and a retro Atari system, so it’s perfect for rainy days inside. Speaking of rain, the cabin has a metal roof, so rainy days are really incredible. The outside space is our favorite though with the side porch, downstairs patio, fire pit and hammock area, and the woods. Bedrooms: The house has a main bedroom with a king bed and a workspace/desk area. This room has a closet and a dresser. There is a second bedroom that is lofted with a king bed. This room is up an open set of stairs from the kitchen area and overlooks the living room, but there is a curtain and it still feels fairly private. This room has a dresser and side tables with storage space. There are also three air mattresses available with linens (2 twins and a full) and a cot with a sleeping bag. There is a shared bathroom. You will have access to the whole property. The cabin is off of a quiet road. There are other houses around, but none of them are very close together. You can see a couple of the neighboring homes from the cabin in the winter months when the leaves are off of the trees, but the property still feels pretty secluded. Driveway and parking: There is a pull thru gravel driveway. The left side (when looking at the house) has a decent bump at the road, so if you have a lower car then just pull in and leave from the right-hand side of the driveway. There is ample parking in the driveway as well as a pull off area that will fit a couple of cars. Distance from the Camp Olio cabin: Entrance to the Foothills Parkway: 3.5 miles Townsend: 7 miles Maryville: 7 miles Wears Valley: 17 miles Pigeon Forge: 25 miles Gatlinburg: 32 miles Neyland Stadium: 23 miles Downtown Knoxville: 26 miles Cades Cove: 21 miles Dollywood: 29 miles Cherokee, NC: 60 miles
