The space Here's a snapshot of what awaits you at our cozy 2-bedroom home… Living Room: A comfortable, laid-back space with chairs and sofa, ideal for relaxing. There's a 50" Roku TV for streaming, board games for some fun, and a record player for a touch of nostalgia. The electric fireplace adds a cozy ambiance. Kitchen & Dining: The kitchen is well-equipped for your culinary adventures, featuring a high-end 48" gas range and kitchen modern appliances. The adjacent dining area, with seating for four, is great for meals or a quick coffee break. Bedrooms: Each bedroom offers a restful retreat with comfortable bedding and closet storage for your belongings. Both rooms include a 55" Roku TV for private viewing. Bathroom: The shared bathroom is equipped with the essentials and a combined shower and tub. The built-in gas heater is original, but disabled and only for aesthetics since the house is fully equipped with modern heat/air. Outdoor Areas: Enjoy the quaint front porch or the large, fenced backyard. You may encounter our adjacent neighbors and their pets on the other sides of the fence--feel free to say hello! Parking is available for 2-3 cars with a covered carport for 1 and driveway right off Piedmont road (please exercise caution pulling out of driveway). The Surroundings: Our Westmoreland home is on the west end of Huntington, and conveniently located near Marshall University, local hospitals and restaurants, Huntington-Tristate Airport, and downtown Huntington, making it easy to explore the city's offerings. While our home has its quirks, like uneven original wood floors and slightly uneven front steps, it adds to the charm of this older yet well-maintained property. It's a great base for your Huntington adventures or a comfortable spot to work remotely. Guest access The entire home is yours explore aside from the closed-off attic, a storage closet in the secondary bedroom, and a supply closet in the laundry room. Other things to note Our home is right off of Piedmont road and a walking path, so there is the potential for some normal traffic noise and foot traffic. Please exercise caution pulling out of the driveway. The neighbors do have pets and you may hear them barking from time to time. The gas heater in the bathroom is disabled because the house is fully equipped with modern HVAC. The floors and front steps are original and cute, but a little uneven. The backyard has muddy spots around the shed and tree; we will plant new grass seed this spring. We have Ring security system that you’re welcome to use, or leave disarmed during your stay. The Ring video doorbell facing the front porch and road records audio/video on motion or button press. Quarterly pest control service is provided inside and outside the home by a professional company, if their visit falls during your reservation they will need access inside the home but you do not need to leave.
