It never freezes, making it haven for gulls, waders and wildfowl in winter. Also close-by is Marazion, home to the magnificent sight of St Michael’s Mount, which you can walk across to when the tide is out. Other attractions accessible from here include St Ives and Falmouth as well as The Lizard and it's dramatic coastline and pretty fishing villages. The A30 is within easy reach and opens up options to visit the pretty city of Truro, Heligan Gardens and the Eden Project if you want to venture a little further.
