BlueCrabCottage welcomes you to the 'best sunsets' in the county! Come explore the museums and historic sites showcasing Maryland's rich heritage. Enjoy the waterfront front and back, private acres, back creek, boathouse w/ dining table, 3 piers and more outside stuff to do than I can name here. Enjoy the local Amish markets or the restaurants in Leonardtown, Pax River, Cobb Island and Solomons Island. Wash DC - 40 miles, Pax River - 22 miles away. Let's make memories The space BlueCrabCottage is a nature lovers dream. While the high-speed internet will keep you connected, be sure to get outside, breath the fresh air and explore the 5+ acre estate. Feel free to bring all your lawn toys or use ours to enjoy the outdoors where there is water everywhere. Use the private pier for some fishing or the public wharf and free boat ramp a short 3-minute walk down the private drive. The Wicomico Rivers out front, but don't miss Oak Creek behind. That's where you'll see all kinds of wildlife: Osprey, eagles, blue herring, swans, all kinds of fish, and occasionally we see dolphins in the summer. At night, we like to build bonfires seen from space or just enjoy the stars making up the milky way (yes you can see it on a clear night). Blue Crab Cottage lot is on a 5-lot estate with owners living two lots away. The cozy cottage boasts a front porch, a queen bedroom and the converted back porch with a queen bed and two twin beds. The private drive past the public wharf has a strict 10mph speed limit as the neighbors have a blind and deaf little one. Guest access Guest have access to the entire upstairs of the cottage. We do have a basement that’s for storage. There is ~ 5 acres of land combined on the lots around the cottage. Guest are encourage to explore the outdoors after review and approval of our house rules and good (safety) information inThings to Know that we email guests. Other things to note WiFi service reaches out to our front porch. BlueCrabCottage is pet friendly for dogs not cats (we have allergies) with lots of dog walkers in our family friendly neighborhood. For laundry we have machines in the cellar (separate entrance). We live two lots away and are available most days to answer any questions. We have our old dog and our neighbors most days. They think every guest won't mind them stopping over to say hello. Just let us know if that's a problem and we'll (try) and police them from walking over.
