The space Upon entering the property, you’re welcomed into the bright and airy open-plan living, kitchen and bedroom area. The space is stylish and homely. The tranquil space offers you a place to relax after a long day of exploring North Yorkshire. Get lost in a good book or switch on the flat-screen TV to catch up on your favourite shows. The breakfast bar seats 2 guests so you can enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. In the kitchen area you’ll find modern appliances. Well equipped with an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle – The Tack Room has everything you could need for your short break. This luxurious space features characterful wooden beams overhead and a double bed. The en-suite has a clean and modern style, featuring a powerful shower over a spacious bath as well as a WC and wash basin. Towels are provided for your convenience. Outside, at the bottom of the entrance steps, is a bench area facing the internal courtyard where you can enjoy a cup of Yorkshire tea while reading your favourite book! A short walk away is our private lake, where you might catch site of a resting deer or hare! Please be aware that entrance to the apartment is up a set of old mill steps, see pictures. The nearest shop is in Thornton Le Dale (approx. 7 miles away) however we do have an honesty (cash only) shop where you can buy essentials should you forget something or run out. Is there a washing machine? There is a shared washing machine and sink that is available for you to use during your visit in the Wash House. Can I bring extra dogs? Please contact us direct should you wish to bring more than 2 dogs per cottage. Unfortunately we are unable to allow cats to stay in the cottage. Are there highchairs we can use? Yes, we have highchairs and bed sides that you are welcome to use. These are in the Wash House or let us know before you arrive and we will put one in your cottage. Use the boot and dog wash at the lake, should you get muddy on your walk, before you head back to the cottage.
