MetaModern Marfa House

Located next door to Donald Judd's old house, you can walk to everything in Marfa from our 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath house! Just three blocks from Highland St. and Hotel Saint George. A tranquil retreat offering a wonderful experience of the real Marfa. Perfect for a small group of friends, couples and families. Come for a long weekend, and you'll never want to leave. Pets are allowed for an extra fee. The space This 1,800 sq. ft. house was completely remodeled in 2017 with calm, white walls, birch flooring and subtle touches of bohemian southwest decor, highlighted by cozy furniture with an open concept and zero clutter. We offer top of the line bedding and linens for your extra comfort. Our three spacious bedrooms allows our guests plenty of space to roam, mirroring the outdoor landscape surrounding our beloved Marfa. Private closet space for each room. There is a outdoor grill & fire pit for your enjoyment. The two guest rooms have their own private sink with adjoining Jack-n-Jill full shower and toilet. Their is also a separate powder room. (Four bathroom sinks, three toilets, two showers and one beautiful bath tub.) Towels and linens provided, as well as bath, laundry, and dish soap. I have a fully-stocked kitchen for guests wanting to cook at home. Local gourmet coffee is also provided. There is a washer & dryer in house, as well. In front of the house is the original Texaco gas station in Marfa. It is now available for rent as MetaModern Loft & MetaModern Studio. All three units can house up to 15 people. The yard is for house guests only, and the Airstream is for storage only, not for guests. Check-in is not until 4pm, but you can drop off your luggage earlier if need be, just be aware that our cleaning crew needs five hours to get the house 100% prepared for arrivals. Check-out is 11am. Trains do run through Marfa a few times during the night. So, light sleepers need to bring earplugs. It's a very small town. Anywhere you stay, you are going to hear the train. It adds to the charm. Guest access Full house access and full-enclosed yard. Other things to note There is a pet fee, so please click that when booking. If you are bring pet(s), let us know in advance. And please Do NOT let them on the furniture. This has been an issue with certain dogs, scratching up leather furniture. Please REMOVE shoes after entering.
