The EarthHouse ~ Wall-to-wall unique style, Luxury Linens and Amazing Comfort
The EarthHouse is wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling style. We've put our hearts into providing a distinctive space filled with luxury linens and cozy throws, creating the essence of relaxation and charm. The bedroom mattress, lounge room couch and arm chairs are amazingly comfortable. It is nicely cool during warm weather months and cozy warm in the winter months. It’s great. It is delightfully quiet and sure to be memorable. We're sure you're going to love this unique and romantic escape. The space The EarthHouse was originally just an earth home in the 1940's where a family of four called home. In 1992, the current dwelling was built above the earth home where we live with our dog. You may occasionally hear faint voices and the sound of dog paws during your stay. Please know we are most courteous in providing a quiet space during your time at The EarthHouse. You will have the entire EarthHouse to yourself with private entrance once inside the front door of the house. There is just 1 step down into the EarthHouse. The kitchen has a full refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee with coffee maker, and counter oven with rotisserie, bake, convection, and broil settings. The open kitchen area meets up with the bathroom with full shower and bathtub, or enter the charming lounge living room and romantic bedroom with sound machine and darkened window coverings. You may exit the bedroom through the (secret) closet door which meets up with the hallway to the bathroom and kitchen area. We think you will really enjoy yourselves at the EarthHouse. Guest access During outdoor weather seasons, we welcome you to make use of the outdoor furniture at the entrance! We have a beautifully landscaped property to enjoy. At this time, no access to the backyard, thank you! Street parking is provided. Mount Horeb does not ticket cars parked on the street overnight. Other things to note We are located within walking distance from Downtown Main Street in Mount Horeb. During the 1980s, as part of an effort to continue celebrating their Norwegian and Norwegian-American heritage, Mount Horeb transformed itself into the "Troll Capital of the World." Art carved trolls line the downtown area, often pointing to places to shop and eat. Mount Horeb, Wisconsin is part of the Driftless Area, a topographical and cultural region in southwestern Wisconsin. Here we acknowledge and celebrate the inherent sovereignty of the Ho-Chunk Nation and the 11 Indigenous First Nations within what is now referred to as the State of Wisconsin . The EarthHouse is on the sacred ancestral land and waters of the Ho-Chunk peoples of past, present, and future.
