The space Y Llofft Wair (The Hayloft) is warm and cosy - perfect for up to four guests and includes a kitchen / lounge, shower room and two bedrooms. The stylish interior strikes a careful balance between the contemporary and traditional, and looks out over the beautiful valley. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need, including an induction hob, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and complimentary welcome pack; relax on the comfy sofa or enjoy breakfast around a table. Fancy staying in? - chill out around the wood burning stove and watch Freesat or Disney+ or play one of the board games provided. Luxuriate in the large walk-in deluge shower, with piping hot water, towels and high-quality toiletries provided. Snuggle up in the comfy 2000 spring king-size bed with natural fillings, with all bed linen provided for your stay or chose the full-size 1000 spring bunk beds, ideal for either children or adults. Want to extend your stay and work remotely? The table in the kitchen has power points with 4G wifi access available throughout. Mobile coverage is normally good for most networks or make wifi or zoom calls in the apartment. Your four-legged friend is also welcome to stay, just let us know in advance and bring your own pet bedding, towels and bowls. Please note that pets are not allowed on the furniture and should be kept on a lead around the property. Leave your outdoor gear and boots by the door on the hooks and boot tray provided, or hang them up in the drying area in the barn. Hose down your muddy boots, bikes and paws next to the house and leave your bikes and outdoor gear securely in the barn. Feel free to explore the lovely fields around the barn and walk down to the river at the bottom of the valley. Enjoy the little seating area next to the river or sit out in your exclusive patio area and garden and warm yourselves around the fire pit, looking over the mountain and fields. Park next to the apartment free of charge. Our central location is ideal to explore the rural beauty of Carmarthenshire or visit the fabulous north or south coast beaches within 40 minutes. Just 12 miles north of Carmarthen, we are easily accessible and though only half a mile from the main road, it feels like another world. The Afon Gorwydd winds its way through the bottom of this tranquil valley and there are stunning views towards Llanllwni mountain and windfarm, and the distant Preseli Hills. Enjoy the wildlife around the former farm; our frequent summer visitors include both Swallows and House Martins who love to nest in the eaves. Wonder at the dark skies and shining stars. Recently converted from a large Victorian barn, saved from dereliction and lovingly restored, the apartments are full of history and atmosphere. Guest access You will have exclusive access to your apartment and garden which is all on one level. Parking is immediately next to the entrance to your apartment. You are welcome to explore the five acres of land around the barn, including a large field area and a small but fast flowing brook at the bottom of the site where there is a small seating area. As not all guests bring (or like) dogs, please keep them on a lead at all times. There is also public footpath which runs through the site (rarely used) which leads from the village up to the Llanllwni mountain and Brechfa forest. If you are bringing bikes, you can store them securely in a separate part of the barn. EV owners will be able to use our communal EV charger (additional payment applies).
