8 beds @ Cornell farm homestead -Walmart red light

Description

You'll always remember your time at this unique place. This listing is for 7 of the 9 rooms in the house See 12 bed Cornell House for the 9 room option If you rent all of the units at Cornell 517, 19 beds are available. Merry-Go-Round is always popular with younger families. Blairsville history; PA Canal, PA Railroad, underground railroad, coal, glass, steel, electric. Nearby are 4 popular rail to trails. 17 min. from IUP. 30min. to Spirit Air in Latrobe; 1 to 1.5 hr to Pittsburgh Airport. The space This had been the Cornell homestead since 1925 on what had been a dairy farm. This house was built in 1868. Most of the farm was sold to an industrial park 40 years ago. We have larger groups (contractors, hunters, wedding families, etc.) that want a reasonably priced place to stay. There are 4 TVs in the house. Besides the 4 queen, 2 twin beds and 1 twin bunk beds that are normally set up, there are 2 rollaway beds that can be set up. They are shared with the Cornell Studios and our Cottage so please let us know if you want these set up when you reserve. The Lazy-Boy and love seat can provide more sleeping spaces. Beyond that you can provide your own air mattress and bedding. There is plenty of space around this house to play and park. The public playground grade Merry-Go-Round has been a popular attraction for families. The downstairs has five rooms, one of which is both a bathroom and laundry room. There are two large TVs downstairs. The two bedrooms upstairs each have private bathrooms, TVs, microwaves, etc. There is even a small deep freeze in the upstairs hallway. Cornell Studios 1 & 2 are at this same address but in a different building and on separate listings There is a glass top table in the open porch of the house on the Cornell Road side . Four folding chairs go with the table. Chairs may be in either porch. The porches and above table and chairs are to be shared with of any of the guests at the 517 Cornell address. There is a concrete pad near the merry-go-round in case you want to take chairs there while the kids play. A washer and dryer are in the downstairs bathroom. Guest access This listing gets you exclusive use of the house except for the 2 porches to the house which are outside the locked exterior doors. The porches have some outdoor furniture and a snow shovel which is shared with the guests of this house and guests which may be staying in the Airbnb Cornell 517 Studios 1 and 2. There is an Amazon smart keypad lock on the door. I will give you your own code a bit before you arrive. In case you have not used that type of lock: Before you put in those numbers, make sure the door has been pulled all the way shut. If it is just the electric bolt holding the door shut, it has trouble unlocking. Touch those numbers then the unlock button above the numbers. Touch the lock/unlock button when you want to lock the door when leaving. Other things to note Much of the furniture is good used. A dishwasher is between the sink and refrigerator. We don't have snow removal service at the 517 Cornell address. Normally there is a snow shovel in the enclosed porch during the winter.
