Off the lounge there’s a triple bunk bedroom, with a single bed over a double (one side is against the wall), and on the ground floor you’ll also find an elegant family shower room. The king-size bedroom, which has a Smart TV for lazy mornings lounging in bed, is a calm space nestled under the sloping ceilings of the first floor. Heading outdoors, the glazed doors in the lounge open out onto the enclosed garden, where artificial grass and a patio with a picnic table make an excellent space in which to enjoy drinks and meals in the fresh air. Well-known for its long, sandy beach, Caister is a popular resort with plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat. There are fabulous walks along the coastal path – turn right for Great Yarmouth, 3.5 miles, where Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach offers white-knuckle rides and traditional attractions for all ages. At Horsey Gap, 9.5 miles, you will usually spot seals on the quiet, sandy beach, while another lovely day trip is to Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, 12 miles, where there are beautiful walks amid 130 acres of planting.
