Outside there is a beautiful garden with lawn, terrace and outdoor furniture, the perfect place to enjoy a summer’s evening or to watch the sun rise with a warm coffee in hand whilst planning your adventurous day ahead. The cottage is ideally located to explore the natural beauty and cultural treasures of Derbyshire. Lace up your boots and embark on the nearby Monsal Trail, Stanage Edge or Dovedale which all offer breathtaking views. Rent a bike and explore the Tissington Trail and High Peak, or visit Carsington Water which not only is great for an 8 mile cycle or walk, but also has many water sports and bird watching opportunities. Visit historic buildings such as Haddon Hall and the stately home of Chatsworth House, or amble around the quaint and charming streets of the local towns of Matlock and Bakewell.
