This Black Hills Basecamp is ready for your next adventure, just minutes from downtown Deadwood and Lead and a short drive to Spearfish, Sturgis and Rapid City. Snowmobile trails are right next door and we are behind Terry Peak ski area! This retreat house is situated on a private road with open mountain views + seasonal stream in the back you can enjoy with hot tubbing or foosball after a day of activities. FAQ: -Pet fee $50 (pre-paid at booking) for 1-2 small, well-mannered dogs on main floor with their own kennel -1 security camera on front deck PARKING & ROADS -House on a loop -Parking for at least 5 vehicles in front of house -Trailer parking is an option in summer/non snow months because there are limited houses next door and none across the street. Neighborhood signs say no parking along streets due to winter snow removal but in the summer there is some availability to park trailers without any need to back up as you can drive through on loop and beyond 2 next door houses there is a very large turnaround area. - Road was chipsealed end of 2024 -Access on two sides are both hills and one is a much lower grade. -4WD is required in the entire ski neighborhood from Oct/Nov-Mar/Apr LOCATION -House is located behind Terry Peak Ski Area in Lead, SD just minutes from Deadwood, SD -It is very close to the Mickelson trail, snowmobile and ATV trails and very close to rental facilities for these toys. -$4 cab rides are available to Deadwood, SD for events POLICIES: -No smoking inside whatsoever; please clean up and dispose of your cigarette butts outside -Quiet hours are 10 PM, which means limit outdoor noise to respect neighbors. CLEANING FEE: Includes standard cleaning + hot tub maintenance fees from contractors HOT TUB: -No glass or food in hot tub. -For constant heat, hot tub must be on "St" or standard mode, not economy (Ec) or Sleep (Sl). -Please Google Viking Hot Tub controls change mode to get 2 button sequence to change mode if it gets changed by guests/quick fingers. -The ratchet strap MUST be attached to eyelet straps on 2 sides over properly place cover anytime hot tub is not in use and especially upon departure to avoid damage. We LOVE hosting you and welcome you to the Black Hills! Guest access + Guests will have access to the entire house. + Please use GOOGLE MAPS to navigate to house as Apple Maps will not work due to age of home/newer address. Other things to note Kitchen features a gas stove and some appliances included are: crock pot, blender, air fryer, coffee grinder, milk frother, coffee pot/filters, teapot, toaster, bowls, pans, cutting boards, knives, measuring utensils, spices and dishes to accommodate house guests. A gas grill is on the deck right off the kitchen/dining area + grilling utensils in kitchen. There is commonly flour and baking soda available in the pantry and you’ll often find common condiments in the fridge. *There are 2 pack n plays + 1 high chair for your use. Both King bedrooms have a Roku TV and the basement TV is equipped with a gaming console with preloaded, old school games in addition to foosball. There are also several books and games available for your use. Small first aid kit and hair dryer are kept in the main level bathroom. The bathrooms are stocked with body wash, shampoo/conditioner in addition to customary towels, soap and toilet paper + additional towels situated by the hot tub patio door. *We request you wash & begin to dry a load of towels prior to your departure to help us accomplish turnover before new guests arrive.
