Tucked into the forest on this pristine property, overlooking of a short stream that opens on to the St-Lawrence, under the shade of magnificent hardwoods, this 4-season cottage is a haven: to observe wildlife, to break a ski-trail through the woods in winter or or toast marshmallows over a campfire. Ideal point of departure for exploring the vast marshes and waters around the islands of the mighty river. Here, ‘Peace comes dropping low, from the veils of morning to where the linnet sings’. The space The cottage has been recently renovated. One full bed in master bedroom, one brand new sofa-bed in the living room area and bunk beds for the children. (Note that the bunk beds are not constructed to suppor the weight of adults). Kayaks or paddleboard are available on request. The property is a 10 minute walk from the National Wildlife Reserve of Lake St. Francis. The property is withing a 70 acre estate adjacent to the reserve on the south side and with the river bordering the property on the North Side. The property is the access route for wildlife to the river. You may see beaver, deer, foxes and an incredible variety of birds on and around the property. Eagles are frequently viewed, as are Sandhill cranes, egrets, and 5 other species of heron Guest access The whole cottage and deck are available for your use.
