You can't get any closer to the historic Denver Highlands district than this charming 1908 cottage bungalow. Our newly renovated home is cozy & colorful- and the perfect space to stay if you are looking to grab a bite at a Michelin restaurant (just a 7 min walk down the road), take a stroll to the ever-trendy Highlands Square for shopping, or head a few blocks West to the vibrant Tennyson street for happy hour. If you're a foodie, we have more than 50 restaurants within a 15 min walk! The space Our funky home has 9 foot ceilings throughout. Our home is relatively quiet, but is on a busy street, so occasional street noise is heard- although we have new soundproof windows in living room. Both of the guest bedrooms have windows with full length blackout curtains, a place to store clothing, sound machines, and closets. The bathroom has a toilet w/bidet, clawfoot tub* with shower head, and all the amenities you could want. *Please note: stepping into the tub/shower, requires 25” of clearance from the ground. We do not have grab bars in tub. You will find full amenities in the kitchen to include: oven/stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, utensils, immersion blender, and cooking/baking supplies. We have amenities for bar items as well. We also provide Nespresso coffee pods and individual creamers. How far to: Ball Arena- 2.5 miles Coors Field- 5 miles Empower Field- 2 miles Meow Wolf- 2.5 miles Elitch Gardens- 2 miles Red Rocks- 16 miles Convention Center- 3 miles Union Station- 3 miles Denver law requires that short term rentals be the hosts primary residence and the owners live in back of this property. There are no shared spaces and the Airbnb is completely private. Owners use the gate to left of home to access their space. Guest access Guests have access to the driveway, front porch, front yard, living room, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, dining/kitchen area. The back yard is not accessible to guests at this time. Owners also live on the property in the back however, we will do our best not to disturb guests. Other things to note Please no glitter or open flames in the home. Use the gold faucet in the kitchen for drinking water. This is a reverse osmosis and re-mineralization filtration system and the water is delicious! We change all filters every 6 months. Do not drink Denver tap water (it has lead). Our home is old and filled with charm - built in 1908, so some of the amenities we see in newer homes are not present here, for example, we have a limited number of electrical outlets- but we provide plenty of power strips should you need extra plug ins. There isn’t kitchen exhaust, so if you are planning to cook something smoky (bacon) then you make want to open a window for your comfort and so the smoke alarm doesn’t go off! We have a clawfoot tub with a showerhead for bathing. Stepping into the tub is roughly 25” off the ground and there are no grab bars. We love animals, but unfortunately, we are no longer pet friendly due to multiple issues with guest bringing animals that have destroyed our furniture, floors, and walls. :( If you would like to smoke, please do so outside on the front porch only. No inside smoking (including vapes) is allowed of any kind. Please also clean up any remnants of smoking in the black trash bins accordingly. Lastly, we know everyone loves to have a good time, but please no parties; only guests that are registered on AirBnb are allowed on the property without prior approval.
