Cabin in Sandy
Description
Relax and unwind at our cozy mountain lodge. Enjoy stunning expansive views of the surrounding forest, meadows, ponds and creek from your private deck. It’s like having your own park for a backyard with over 30 acres to explore. Located just outside of downtown Sandy and Mt Hood National Forest, endless opportunities for hiking, biking and snow sports abound. Whether you're looking for an adventure, romantic getaway or a family vacation, this is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the PNW. The space This property is quite unique. The home sits on a hill overlooking a valley with Cedar Creek running through it and providing the peaceful soundscape throughout your visit. During the winter months, it can be pretty quiet and the cabin provides the perfect cozy atmosphere to put a record on and curl up with a book or have a movie night. Two grand fireplaces, endless boardgames and puzzles, and a hot tub set the scene for the ideal mountain getaway. During the summer months, this place transforms into the quintessential Oregon playground. Part of the property is a campground so there are often campers down by the creek (but out of sight from the house), and the barn across the way is used as a community space for vanlifers and campers. While there are more people on the property, Airbnb guests have their own private corner up on the hill and won't be bothered. You have your own entrance and driveway to the property, and exclusive access to the hot tub, deck and yard. Feel free to take a stroll down to the creek, run your dogs around in the meadow, explore the hiking trails, etc. It's like being at summer camp! Guest access The house and it's direct surroundings are yours to access. This includes the upper and lower deck with hot tub and pool respectively, the backyard with BBQ and the full driveway and parking around the house. The garage and basement will be locked, as well as some of the closets in the house where we keep some personal items. You also have access to the rest of the property, including the hiking trails across the creek (~1 mile loop). Other things to note This is our primary residence and we are so happy to share it with others as it really is a special place. However, especially if you are new to Airbnb, we want to make sure you understand that this is not a hotel and we expect our guests to follow our house rules and treat our place like you would treat any friend or family member's home. Thank you!
