This comfortable private bedroom in our quiet home is ideal for a couple or solo traveler needing a room for 1-14 nights. A private bathroom with bath & shower is exclusively yours. The room has a bed, desk, chair, fan/heater & kitchenette. Electric blanket in winter. You have your own door leading off the patio. We have solar power so no loadshedding. * Not suited to people who are uncomfortable with dogs The space This room is ideal for short stays for business or leisure, for a couple, or a solo traveler. If you’re looking for a safe, peaceful and relaxed environment to spend a few nights (up to 14 nights), or even just a night or two you will be very comfortable in our warm, bright & airy home. Guests enjoy a comfortable, cozy private bedroom with a freshly made Queen sized bed, a desk, wardrobe with shelving & hanging space and your own door leading onto a communal covered patio. While smoking is not permitted indoors, guests are welcome to smoke/vape on the patio. Guests have a dedicated full bathroom to themselves, right across the passage, with bath & shower, clean towels and essential toiletries (shampoo and soap and/or shower gel). The room has a small well equipped kitchenette with everything needed for reheating food and basic meal prep for short stay guests: crockery & cutlery, a kettle, microwave, toaster and bar fridge. Guests do not have access to the hosts kitchen/stove/oven, so no there is no cooking. The microwave is perfect for quick, easy microwave meals and reheating leftovers. The room is equipped with a fan for summer guests and a space heater for winter guests (no air conditioner). There is no TV in the room, guests are encouraged to stream from our free Wi-Fi to their own devices. There is a lovely big garden for guests who like to enjoy their morning coffee or a sundowner on the patio or in the garden, and guests are welcome to enjoy their meals on the patio. There is no in-house laundry service or access to a washing machine, there are a number of affordable laundromats nearby. There is an iron and ironing board for guests who need to press their clothes. Parking: safe on-street parking directly in front of the house. There is no parking space for guests inside the property. This Airbnb is not suitable for young children (under 10) or guests who are travelling with pets, as we have pets on this property. We have 3 dogs so this is not a suitable option for guests who are afraid of or uncomfortable with dogs. Located: - 2km to nearest shops and take out. - 5km from Blouberg beachfront - perfect for walks on the beach, sundowners, surfing and kitesurfing. - 20km to Cape Town city centre and V&A Waterfront. - 22km to Cape Town International Airport. - Walking distance to MyCiti bus stop This is a great spot for surfers and kite surfers as we are 10 minutes from iconic Blouberg beach, and have plenty space for your boards and equipment. The tea/coffee station includes complimentary tea, coffee, sugar & cremora. Guests are responsible for their own meals and refreshments, and guests should bring their own milk if they prefer milk to creamer. There are numerous grocery shops nearby including Spar, Pick'nPay & Woolworths; and there are many fast-food options in the area including sushi, fish & chips, pizza, burgers, KFC & Chinese. Guests are welcome to bring their food with them or have it delivered to the house. In Summer, guests may dine alfresco on the patio. In Winter the dining room will be available to guests. Alternatively, there are many good restaurants in the area, with great breakfast, lunch and dinner spots with a front row view of our beautiful mountain and the ocean. Or a sundowner on the beach if you're in the mood to watch the sun setting between Table Mountain and Robben Island. Note there is no in-house laundry service, there are laundromats nearby.
