Once upon a time, in the heart of the Dordogne, a small chalet nestled in the hollow of a peaceful valley, a few steps from the village of Saint-Geniès, this jewel with slate roofs and flower-lined streets. This chalet is a sweet refuge, ideally designed for two. Nature lovers, soft dreamers, souls in search of cosiness and beauty. In the morning, one has their coffee on the terrace, gaze lost between trees and sky, while the mist slowly fades from the hills. Inside, this 40 m2 chalet has been designed to make you feel at home: a warm bedroom where you can snuggle under the duvet, a fitted and equipped kitchen to prepare simple and comforting meals, a cosy and bright living room where you savour the slowing down of time. The living area is equipped with a sofa bed that can accommodate two additional people. At night, the space with the living room can be separated by a curtain. You have a modern bathroom with toilets, simple, clean, welcoming. And then there's this private jacuzzi open all year round, a promise of evenings under the stars, glass in hand, lulled by the song of crickets. A simple, intimate luxury, to be savoured for two. Just 1 km from the chalet, the village welcomes you with its convenience store, bakery, countryside butcher, and bar where locals solve the world's problems on the terrace. A little further — 5 small kilometres — you will find everything you need for your shopping or small daily unexpected events. But here, true luxury is elsewhere... It's in the hiking trails that wind through the countryside, forests, castles, mysterious caves. It's in Sarlat, Montignac-Lascaux, Beynac, Domme, and so many other wonders, all within driving distance. And summer come, when the sun declines, night markets beckon you. There you can taste duck, cheese, strawberries bursting with sugar, in a joyful and authentic atmosphere. The one in Saint-Geniès takes place on Wednesday evening. But all year round you will find the weekly market on Sunday morning. The Garrigues Nest is not just a stay. It is a parenthesis. A breath. A little corner of happiness.
