Eighteen Mile Cottage

Eighteen Mile Cottage is a charming early 1920's Queenslander holiday home nestled alongside an invigorating river that flows close from the Lamington National Park. Located in the beautiful Lost World Valley Scenic Rim, and only 90 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The cottage is situated on private acreage surrounded by captivating mountains and countryside views. Activities: bush walking, camp fires, rock hopping, river bathing, bird watching, star gazing, scenic photo opportunities. The space The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living area, bathroom (spa bath included) and two bedrooms - one with a queen sized bed, the other with two single beds (all have luxury mattresses and cotton linen provided - in winter, woollen doonas and electric blankets are provided also). There are two outdoor living areas - one spacious deck (with bbq & gas) and one verandah which is fabulous in the afternoon winter months. A large fireplace area, with portion of firewood provided is positioned directly behind the cottage. River access available directly behind the cottage also. Guest access Arrival details will provided prior to arrival. Other things to note The cottage is nestled beside the Albert River on a private acreage pad located centrally within a 450 acre beef cattle farm run by our family. The yard area is fully fenced, so suitable for bringing the family dog/s (outdoors only with pre-approval). Phone and internet: the property is semi remote, with limited mobile phone range - Telstra only provided. Most guests love being able to disconnect from the everyday to immerse themselves in nature’s treasures.
