Description

Architectural Scandi-modern cabin on Hunger Mountain. A private sanctuary for couples or creatives. Features a King loft bed (ladder access), pellet stove, and heated floors. Remote-ready with fast Cable Wi-Fi (100+ Mbps) + 43" OLED monitor. Efficient kitchen: induction, 3-in-1 oven, pour-over coffee. Located in the "Golden Triangle"—10 mins to Waterbury dining, 15 mins to Stowe skiing. Experience high-end design, Sonos sound, and forest views in a cozy, modern footprint. The space The Vibe & Views "Dwell Magazine" meets "Tiny House Nation." This is a custom-built, architecturally designed guest house that prioritizes clean lines and a deep connection to nature. Large windows closely connect you with the natural setting, offering a front-row seat to the outdoors where you can watch deer and wildlife pass by. The interior aesthetic is pure Scandinavian Modern: warm oak cabinetry, black accents, cathedral ceilings, and heated concrete-style tile floors. Who It's For: It is the perfect space for a small family, a great couples' retreat, or a writer's cabin and remote work space. Sleeping & Layout The Loft (King): The primary sleeping space is a King bed located in the loft, accessed by a ship's ladder. It’s a cozy, elevated nest with forest views. (Note: You must be comfortable climbing a ladder to sleep here). The Lounge (Queen): For those who prefer to stay on the ground floor (or flexible sleeping arrangements), the modern sofa pulls out into a Queen bed with a premium topper. Kitchen & Dining Efficient, modern, and designed for real cooking in a small footprint. Cooking: Induction cooktop and a premium 3-in-1 Convection Oven/Microwave/Air Fryer. Coffee: A proper pour-over setup is provided. Outdoor: A pellet grill is available on the private deck for BBQ. Work & Tech Connectivity: Fast Cable Wi-Fi (100+ Mbps) ensures seamless Zoom calls. Workstation: A dedicated stand-up desk with a 43” OLED monitor (USB-C/HDMI). This screen doubles as your TV for streaming. Sound: Sonos sound system for music and movies. Comfort Despite its size, the cabin is built for Vermont winters. Heat: A high-efficiency pellet stove heats the space quickly, backed up by radiant heated tile floors in the bathroom and living area. Cool: Designed with cross-ventilation and fans for summer breezes. The Location You are staying in the "Golden Triangle" of Vermont. Dining: 10 minutes to Waterbury’s best food ( Hen of the Wood). Skiing: 15 minutes to Stowe, 25 to the Mountain Resort, 30 minutes to Sugarbush. Nature: Direct access to wildlife corridors and local dirt roads for walking/biking right from your door. Guest access You have sole, private access to the entire self-contained guest house. This includes your own private deck, in-unit washer/dryer, and designated parking. Privacy Note: The cabin is detached from the main house (approx 75ft away). It was specifically sited and oriented to face the protected woods, ensuring your view is of nature, not neighbors. Other things to note This is a "Tiny Home" experience. It is best suited for a couple, 2 friends, or a small family (2 adults + 1-2 kids). The Ladder: The King loft is accessed by a ladder and the balcony is open (not gated). It is not recommended for toddlers or anyone with limited mobility. Alternative Sleep: If the ladder is an issue, the downstairs sofa pulls out into a comfortable Queen bed. Winter Travel (Important): Vermont winters are real. While the road is plowed regularly, timing can vary during a storm. The Vehicle: A 2WD vehicle with proper snow tires will get you up the driveway fine. Otherwise, AWD/4WD is recommended. Rental Car Warning: Rental cars often come with standard "all-season" tires. These vehicles struggle anywhere in Vermont, including this driveway, if there is snow. Backup Plan: If the weather is severe, there is an option to park at the bottom of the driveway and walk up. The WINTER Driveway Rule: We are on a single-lane dirt road. Please stay in the middle (on the crown). Important: If you meet another car, DO NOT pull over to let them by—you will get stuck in the soft snow shoulder. Instead, you or the other car must reverse to a spot where there is enough room to pass safely.
